The problem with being a part of any game, is that the vantage point is poor. People too close to their pick, cannot see when their pick has gone awry nor when their own rationalizations also have lost their validation. Bush supporters did not start out justifying an illegal war or wire taps or lies to kill. They started out just like Hillary supporters, ignoring and defending the little things like lies about positions, smears about McCain having an illegitimate child by a black prostitute. The problem is, as the excuses pile up and the justifications pile up; those who do that start to be sooo heavily invested in their candidate, that they start overlooking the more serious lies.

In the end, it becomes a face and morale saving gesture, no longer just about defending an immoral or dishonest or lying candidate, but the integrity of the voter, themselves. by then, they lie, because they do not dare embrace the truth--after all, with soo many lies and many of them serious--what would it say about them? This road is familiar, those of us who are neither Dem or Repub can see it, no matter if the travelers cannot.

remember growing up when your mother told you..."a lie is a lie"

I put this story in the same context as her many trips with her husband abroad. She was visiting hospitals and having tea while he met with the heads of state.

One thing Bill and Hillary have in common......they both are trying to rewrite history!

No matter who becomes our next President. History has proved that only about 10% of all the things they promise to do once they get elected, actually gets done. They will say and promise anything to get elected. Its just one big power trip.

See what kind of association that Obama has.

Read what the pastor has been preaching and decide if you want to be part of that chruch. Change the Black to White and White to Black .. you will be called a racist and sent to jail.

Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community. . . . Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love

I hope Hillary does not drop out until the fat lady sings. I would never support a quitter. One of my reasons for supporting Hillary is her ability to not give up, to go back to the drawing board, to

b-easy63, you are wasting your breath on libra127. They are typical apologist. I just hope that those kind of non thinking idiots either stay home or are a really small minority on election day.

There''s a big difference between misspoke and lied.

Missing a word or two is one thing.

There''s a huge difference between saying you were in a potentially dangerous area and saying you were running across the tarmac for your life.

It''s particularly bad when your own daughter was with you and you both had time to stop for photos on the tarmac.

Is Hillary''s memory really that bad?

If not, how could she go in front of all of America and lie about this.

Has Bush''''s wife or Obama''''s wife done anything like this? Leave the wives; have they done anything like this?

Hillary made this trip in 1996; she had no real need to take the risk.

You all should be proud of Hillary.

Are you learning yet? Same type of rationalization,

Posted by b-easy63 at 04:27 PM : Mar 24, 2008

No, it''''s not the same kind of rationalization. I find your distortions of the truth to be of a kind with those of polititians. And your arrogance is annoying. Vote for who you want. And carry on with your lecturing of those you''''re convinced are inferior to yourself. I''''m outta here to attend to other pursuits.

Nope, it''s the same, as is the cop out of leaving the board when you get served. The truth is, you are defending the indefensible and trying to be comfortable with it. That is your choice--but when you try to feed others the same swill, don''t get upset if we spew it right back at you. You are acting like a sheeple. It was pathetic and scary when the neo cons did it, it is no less scary coming from the Dems now. Have a nice day.

I think that Hillary''s trip to Bosnia was brave, and I think that this little reporter that tagged along with her is just shameless to try to reduce the story of a courageous trip to a sentence that Hillary made about exiting the plane - if this is all Obama has - oh well. What a pitiful soul this Atkinson girl has. Why she wouldn''t revel in the true story of the reasoning of the visit is very small. So what, when your told to exit the plane and are being briefed on the possible dangers of such a trip, why wouldn''t Hillary''s mindset be one of caution...this so called reporter probably had the same apprehensions but since she is an obama supportor her mind is not going to remember her own sense of emergence on the trip. What a rat!!
