- Once a liar always a liar. She tells a good story thou it sounded good when it came out of her mouth . If and when she ever becomes a grandmother she will always tell exciting stories.

I agree. This was not a defense of eithe candidate however it appears that at least in this election you must admit that the interest is good. I also errored in noteing Bloody Friday was in 1968, instead of 1965. In fact tomorrow March 25, is the anniversey. As for Obama trying to find his roots,is another issue. One cannot uderstand the emotional burden one has to face when not accepted by either side of ones ethnic identy. I have found myself when young trying to convince my peers that I was Black. Me and my siblings were called halfbreeds, zebras, savage, sand other names growing up. You will not believe the efforts we went throug trying to prove we were black enough. We were sometimes ashamed of our Irish grandmother, but as we grew older,we were ashamed of being ashamed. Since we were Catholics we went to Catholic Schools which we diverse but with clicks. Oddly enough it was our black classmates that caused us the most grief. So I know what it feels like to want to belong. My father tolds us that we should be proud of our diversity. Of course he was right. But when you are a kid your peers seemed more valid. So I ask that not judge Obama by his over zealous supports, but merely as a man who one hopes that oneday no one will be judged by the color of his/her skin. - Reply to this comment
- Guess what....I''m not an 18 year old. In fact I was not only old enough to remember the marches but got to listen to my father (who was an officer)ream my mother from one end to the other for participating in one of the marches. It nearly cost him a promotion in the army (God forbid). I know what Barack said and I know that he did not intend to get caught because the expression on his face when he was confronted about it was panic and embarrassment. NOW - that having been said, please note that I have not denied that Hillary or any other politician has not at one time or another embellished the facts but I personally find it extremely offensive when someone intentionally tells a lie to ingratiate themselves with a particular group by attempting to draw a false affiliation. Its sort of like a white person defending his position by saying, I have a lot of friends who are minorities. How blastid patronizing is that. I''m just very sick of the one-sided attacks. This is getting nastier and nastier day by day but I think it ridiculous that one side has the audacity to infer the other is being uglier. Its all tit4tat.

Perhaps you should consult your history books before depending on the word of "one black pastor". Nevertheless, whether it was or was not Bloody Friday, it was the civil rights movement that led other to see thing differently. Like Obama I too have a multicultural background, my mother is the offsrping of an Irish mother and a father from the West Indies. My father is Native American. Both my mother and father as well as my gradnparents were actively involved in the civil right movement. As a child we had people such as Andrew Young and Julian Bond visit our home and meet with others involved in civil rights issues. The fact that I am attempting to get across to you is that each march was a significant part of history. To discount the their efforts based merely on the ones that our history books attempt to note is indeed foolish. What I have heard Obama say often is that "because they" marched he is here today. I find it interesting that you can find the same degree of fault in Obama assessment of history and Clintons deliberate attempt to portray herself as a courageous leader.
It is quit obvious that you are not an Obama supporter for what ever reason, that is your right, but do not let your position distort your view history. - Reply to this comment

- Well if you are so concerned as a Christian, it would seem that you would be even more concerned about the fact that on Easter morn when the nation woke to learn that the number of deaths in Iraq is now at 4000, Barack was off to go sun himself on the beach while his pastor was vacationing in Africa. Neither one of them attended Easter services.

- Watch the video of Hillary talking about the sniper fire. She talked about this in enough detail that she clearly believed her own words.
Then, watch the video of Hillary and Chelsea walking on the tarmac. Visiting with children on the tarmac.
My biggest concern is that Chelsea was there in Bosnia. Hillary lied about this and Chelsea never corrected her mother.
As a Christian, I''m deeply saddened by their forgetting Moses brought us the word of God.
