- I personally find it extremely offensive when someone intentionally tells a lie to ingratiate themselves with a particular group by attempting to draw a false affiliation. Its sort of like a white person defending his position by saying, I have a lot of friends who are minorities. How blastid patronizing is that. I''''m just very sick of the one-sided attacks. This is getting nastier and nastier day by day but I think it ridiculous that one side has the audacity to infer the other is being uglier. Its all tit4tat.

Uh huh. so you really must have been sick to your stomach when Hilary was campaigning down south and developed an affected southern drawl replete with You all''s and "sech", and when she tried to have a black accent and recited the old black spiritual in a high pitched whiny her "best imitation of a southern ***** gospel crooner" you must have wanted to throw up at her fake demeanor. We gotcha--she was really pathetic in both instances, glad you could see through all of that. "I don''t feeeeeeeeel nooooooo ways tahed...come too fur from where iiiiiiiiiiiiii stahted from....." Yeah. LOL - Reply to this comment

- The last Gallup poll on "Trustworthiness and honesty": McClain 67%, Obama 63%, and Hillary 44%. How can Hillary feel like she is elect-able if over 1/2 this country thinks she can''t be trusted? However is pumping her full of sunshine I wish they would stop.

- sjbj2322....That was a great post. You were honest and I admire that. I feel the same way and as you said in the moment of truth I know what I will do. It''s good to know that there are others out there that feel the way I do. Sometimes I start to feel like it is all a lost cause then someone like you comes along and gives me hope. Thank you my friend.

- Some will say that a lie is a lie and they are dead on right. But there are degrees of lies. We all do it. Show me one person that says they have never told a lie and I''ll show you a liar. It''s part of the human condition. Many times we lie to protect someone we love. We don''t want to hurt them so we lie. Noble, but still a lie. Not much in this world is black and white. There are many many shades of gray. We expect our elected officials to live to a higher standard that we do and we should expect that but they aren''t saints. We need to take a step back and evaluate the situation before we jump so quickly to judgement. There has only been one person who ever walked the earth that didn''t lie. His name was Jesus and he forgives us for the things we do if we ask him. We need to try to be more like him.

- Lauenpow....There were a couple of media outlets that made a big deal that neither Obama nor Pastor Wright attended church.
Element51....If Hillary doesn''t get the nomination - YES, I will support Barack though I have more than once jokingly said I''d vote McCain. I know me well enough to know that at the moment of truth I simply couldn''t push that button. - Reply to this comment
- Sorry for the delay - Dancing With The Stars is on (beats politics...teehee). I do so agree with you as regards the difficulties of being multi-racial. My family is predominantly Irish but my step-great-grandmother was also Black Dutch which I''m sure you know what I''m talking about. I have never faced discrimination because of my color because I UNFORTUNATELY didn''t inherit any of the Black Dutch line; however, I do have cousins that do have dark complexions. We argue all the time because I would love to have their complexions and they argue that I have no idea how hard its been for them. THEN during a family reunion my cousin and I ran to the grocery store in my hometown and the looks WE got. People I''ve known all my life treated both of us like lepers. I cried all the way back. My cousin didn''t say I told you so - he just put his arm around me and said Welcome to my world. Well that family reunion was 20 years ago and I still won''t speak to the people we saw that treated us so horrendously despite their having repeatedly tried to engage me in conversation. Tragically I''m sure they don''t even remember why I continue to harbor such bitter feelings toward them. SOOO interestingly I called my cousin a week or so just to see who his family is backing. I have to admit that I was shocked that they too are for Hillary. YES, I slapped myself sufficiently for making such an assumption.

- dugstir100...I support Obama...what is it that bothers you about me? I support Obama because the research I have done has shown me that he most likely will bring about changes that need to be made. That''s all. As for Hillary, I have always liked her. If she gets the nomination I will vote for her. Why? Because I don''t want four more years of the BS that we have now. I don''t think we can survive that. No one knows whether Obama or Hillary will do better but I''m all for giving one of them a chance. Could it get worse? One thing I have learned in 63 years...all politicians lie. Some are big lies that bring terrible consequences, (like the 935 bush told to get us into the war) some are small lies, (like getting shot at when you didn''t) but they all lie. So you have to ask yourself, "Who do I feel the most comfortable with?" Then vote for that person.
