Well, It's the old Democrats vs. Republicans again. Rush, O'Reilly, and the "Bow-Tie Boys" are hammering on the Democrats, very normal for the pre-election season. But they have a much bigger job along with that one. They have to try and downplay the rising cost (in money and lives) of the war in Iraq, and their dirty little congressman. When Clinton was on the grill over Lewinski you couldn't shut Pope O'Reilly up. It was immoral. These days he's talking about anything and everything except his dirty little Congressman! Between Fox and NBC (with their General Electric landlord) and all the clout their many ombined channels carry, they are still having trouble keeping their heads above water. I think between Cheney's little chow hall, lunch counter, and cantina business ripping off DOD in Iraq, the oil "bidness" taking America for the rip-off ride of their life, and the Bible belt, gun toting, red states realizing they got ripped off right along with everyone else, the Republicans are screwed this November. When this administration is gone we'll pick out the real winners. You know, corporate America. Do you remember the good ol days when they just paid to influence making laws. With this administration they got to write the laws themselves! We have the best government money can buy!

When we really look at the events over the last few days on this issue, we see an admitted drug addict criticizing an American hero. I like Michael's response. I think he is saying thanks for talking about this Rush. I really don't care what you say just spell it right. "Stem cell research offers hope to cure disease."

And tonight we get to watch CBS push another political liar at us with Letterman. Robbins promised to leave the country if George Bush won a second term. Here he is. Letterman shows his usual amount of complete lack of decency. Bob Hope, Johny Carson and those show decency along with true humor. Letterman has no humor and tries to make funny of hate jokes when they have no humor But Communist Broadcast System will keep pushing him at us until the sponsors wise up (the public can take care of that) and will. Robbins called that very intimidating on the part to quit buying. That is one of those great American values. We don't like you we quit buying your goods (called voting with dollars). Free enterprise. Not that Robbins, Letterman or Communist Broadcasting System would understand. Just don't know why could not tell TRUTH. Don't make statement if you are not going to leave.

lookcantsee(cantsee would be more appropriate), The people of Missouri will approve the amendment just as they did pro life measurements. You and other partisan whiners will run to Clinton appointed activist (like you they know better for the rest of the country, they're so smart???) to overturn and claim unconstitutional. When in doubt run to liberal activist judges. Whine. Get sympathy. Call the other people mean. Cry. It all works for the liberal Demos. But don't even try to act smarter, that is stupid.

Well lookcantsee, So developing a cure through SCR (nice abbreviation to get calling it what it is) won't make the developer any money??? Is that really what you are saying? For someone who is trying to act so much smarter and more education than anyone else you have lost touch with reality. "Kool-aid", nice union term from a liberal union member hoping to spread more lies for the party. Fact, yes the pharma(nice abbreviation, why capital) people gave several miracle cures as I named tonight. You and Katie(she is losing ratings thank God) have yet to name one, I repeat one (1), whichever you understand about zero (0) success about embryonic cell research. This argument is not about SCR (nice abbreviation). Other than trying to ACT super intelligent (like John Kerry and we all know where that went--lower grades than GWB) your comment says NOTHING concrete fact at all. Ask the many people who can live normal lives with high blood pressure, thanks to medicines, how much they like their Pharma (nice abbreviation even if meaninless).

God Bless Michael J Fox and his family. Thank You Katie for allowing him to speak out. Others should put themselves in his shoes and see what they would do. Good Luck Michael

bkbb2,

You come here with your deceptive cloak of truth seeker while lambasting everyone for their inability to tell the truth. You, in fact, have provided no facts other than your own opinions and some stale talking points you heard and/or read the past couple of days.

Here is the 'The Plain Language Explanation' of the MO Constitutional Amendment:

This amendment will allow Missouri patients and researchers access to any method of stem cell research, therapies and cures permitted under federal law. It also will set limits on any stem cell research, therapies and cures, INCLUDING BANNING HUMAN CLONING OR ATTEMPTED CLONING (emphasis mine). Violators will be subject to criminal and civil penalites.

Read the entire text here: http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/2006petitions/ppStemCell.asp

Another thing, McCaskill was in no position to vote on a Stem Cell Research bill, as you suggest above. She has been a State Auditor for the last 7 years. Missouri's junior Senator, Talent, who is running against McCaskill, voted against it however the bill passed through the U.S. Senate despite his negative vote. Unfortunately, the bill was later vetoed by President Bush. Michael J. Fox is working to have enough Senators elected to overcome a veto that will sure follow a second attempt.

Now, who is...uhh.uhh...LYING LIKE A RUG HERE?!?!
