- I think the point of the "repugnant" issue is that Ms. Couric felt the need to warn us before hand that "some" may find this repugnant. If it had been a commentary from a very liberal Idealogue would there have been this 'need'? Would a discussion on partial birth abortion come with such a warning? Many find that subject to be more than repugnant. It was a free speech segment, and shouldn't have come with an editorizing comment before hand.

- What kind of person doesn't believe the theory of evolution can't be proven? Those are people who obviously have no experiance with intellectual study other than than the Bible. If a person would actually apply rationalthinking to the topic, they would see that evolution is so much backed by objective facts that it is proven already. But then again these are the same people that if they had thier way we would still believe the sun circles the Earth or that witches were responsible for cancer. The theory of evolution does not mean that the Bible is untrue. Galileo is believed to have once said that "if a verse of scripture contradicts what you see in the real world, then you must just be misinterpreting scripture." Did God create the universe, personally I think so. Does that mean that we should just throw our brains away and ignore what we can discover about our world, apparently that's what conservative christians want us to do. As for teaching moral values, sure its a good thing. But don't blame science. If you do, how about you live like you're in the the dark ages, which is where we would be if you conservatives had your way

- Take a look at these quotes and consider the stature of the men that spoke these words. THIS is what our Country was founded upon and not believing in them now is why we are falling apart:
"The Christian Religion, as I understand it, is the brightest of the glory and the express portrait of the eternal, self-evident, independent, benevolent, all-powerful and all-merciful Creator, Preserver and Father of the Universe, the first good, first perfect and first fair."
%u2014 John Adams, letter to Dr. Benjamin Rush, Jan. 21, 1810
"That book, Sir, is the Rock upon which our republic rests."
-- President Andrew Jackson, referring to the Bible, June 8, 1845
"The Bible %u2026 is of all books in the world, that which contributes most to make men good, wise and happy."
-- President John Quincy Adams, September 1811 - Reply to this comment
- Sure........."moronic" religious beliefs because there is no scientific evidence of any of that early christianity stuff.............who in his half-way reasonable mind thinks Moses walked across an open Red Sea?.....What about Noah's big boat..........what About adam's rib and Eve..Do you really believe all this is fact?...Are you mindless?
(However, one can surely accept all this purely on faith- which is fine, bt please don't try this "Intelligent Design" ***. - Reply to this comment
- Charles Darwin was a white supremacist that believed that the White Race was superior to all others. But of course the liberals and fools that refer to Rohrbough as a moron or repugnant must certainly find these facts "repugnant". But then again, that is not the issue. The issue is cause and effect and Mr. Rohrbough has espoused an hypothesis that any true person of science would like to prove or discredit (beyond name calling). If his view is "moronic" surely any one of you "genuises" could demonstrate it scientifically. You do not want to, because, he may be right, and that would be absolutely unthinkable to the Scientific Taliban and their imans in the MSM that try to control the thought and scientific information in this country. Schools in the US began their decline in the 1960's. That is obvious. Why hasn't there been a study to ascertain the cause. I would think that would be a great investigation. I believe Fear is the reason that it has not been done. Fear of what they might find.

- Did anyone who is complaining about the word 'repugnant' actually read the blog entry? Scroll down - it's not too far beneath this post!
It was completely clear that the reference was to 'some' (not CBS) believing that Mr. Rohrbough's comments were 'repugnant'. It has been equally clear in the days since that 'some' believe Mr. Rohrbough's opinions are spot-on. Did you applaud CBS when the blog commented on that? Either way, the comments are on *our* views (not those of CBS)! - Reply to this comment
