- A scene from the Matrix
Take the red pill and you will truely see. Take the black pill and you can go back to your blind life.
Come on, the evidence is overwhelming to the fact that the media is biased. Whenever a right winger ads his two cents its "our conservative commitator says"... meanwhile on the bottem of the screen it says ..warning his views are not the views of our station, warning nutty christians conservative opionions are harmfull. Its all racked up, stacked up biased. Liberals own the TV, Republicans own the Talk Radio. - Reply to this comment
- Well it is nice to hear that Couric and CBS do not find Mr. Rohrbough's views
"Repugnant". It does show however that even the media can be misunderstood. Perhaps it will help teach CBS to report the message intended rather than their slanted twist. I for one agree completely with Brian Rohrbough and can only point to everything going on around us as an example for proof. I understand there will be many that blindly tout a passionate disproval of Mr. Rohrbough's views.
It is sad that one could have the idea that if anyone does not agree with the opinion that evolution is fact they are not educated or some how unintelligent. It is also sad to see that there are so many that can not see the link between senseless killings and evolution.
God does not make bad things happen. We do by not seeking his protection and because we live in a sin filled world. I know those that think belief in God makes me dumb will only see my comments as mere slobber. Again being blind is not limited to Christians. Becoming emotional over evolution is not science but religion. I will gladly change my views when someone truly brings forth proof of fact of evolution. But that will never happen. We should never think that all we see is all there is. True science understands this. Evolutionists seam not to. - Reply to this comment
- The research --- Mr. Dorgan on Commentators
He found that the media is overwhelmingly liberal. Not only liberal, but strategize at having only liberal biased guests on talk shows.
Google it.. find out about it. Free your mind and the rest will follow. - Reply to this comment
- What gets me is that the segment is called freeSpeech, but some think that freeSpeech should only be allowed if it matches their point of view and when it does not scream they will never watch the show again. Give me a break people CBS News is trying to give various points of view a forum and have a discussion. I applaud their decision to put this on even though I may personally disagree with what he said. You do not see this happending that often on a certain commentator's show with the initials B O'R, usually is the views expressed don't match his he bullies them and yells louder. Please continue to provide various points of view on freeSpeech it is one of my favorite segments of the new broadcast.

- Utica1999 Sugested that the liberal medea is hypocritical and bias, and "can't stand to see a viewpoint other than their own on national television."
Could not the same be said of the conservatives.
For OReilly and others to accuse the "liberal medea" of bias is for all intensive purpose the Pot calling the kettle black.
I belive it was David Brinkley Whom once said that it was difficult to be unbias, "You would be for nothing, or against nothing". Our own personal feelings will always sneak through.
I disagree with what Mr. Rohrbaugh said but I thank CBS ans Miss Couric for giving him the opportunity to say it. I do enjoy the the "Free Speech" segment. Heaes to the first amendment.
All the best I. - Reply to this comment
- Bandit - you%u2019re funny.
Most of the people I associate with, (who are right wingers), not only do they own their own businesses, but have BA's, BS, and believe it or not DR degrees. Also I, and my comrades have traveled through South America, North America, and South Mid-East. Why do you associate lack of education and travel with your silly logic. Most of the world%u2019s population is religious. Only 2-8% of the US population are atheists. Don%u2019t tout smart because you went to Disney land in Europe. - Reply to this comment
- Again may I ask... how can we NOT feel "elitist" in the face of such ignorant people?
People who have never travelled outside the bible belt, who have certainly never travelled abroad, but think they know the best way to conduct our foreign policy. People who are not even college educated, have not taken advanced-level science classes, but think the bible is fact and science must be fiction. These are people who insist that their government is superior to all others, but they have never even visited another country and do not know anyone from other countries.
So who's really the elitist? - Reply to this comment
- Of course back in the good old days when everyone prayed in school you could also lynch a black man for "lookin' funny" at your sister...
The idea that society has become more violent is simply false; the idea that forcing my children to pray to your God would make things better is also false.
The idea that teaching factual biological science has anything to do with any of this is ludicrous.
As for free speech; it's great. But let's see if the new CBC news will offer the oportunity to everyone. Will we be seeing PZ Myers or Richard Dawkins on the show to rebut this nonsense? - Reply to this comment
- After studying these comments, I cant help but to think that these things are framed with the same judgment used in Dan Rathers Bush-Gate issues.
Why not be fair and just. Or is it JUST your view. Mrs Couric you offended me and 51% of the USA.
Lets call for Couric to resign! - Reply to this comment
- Cowboy,
"When I watch the news I want just the facts.. I don't need some to tell me what I should think"
FYI: O'Reilly is not there to report the news. He is there to COMMENT on the news..HIS comments and thoughts, and debate them. He is a COMMENTATOR. Do you think that Keith Olbermann on MSNBC reports the news? NO, he also is a commentator. As O'Reilly tends toward the conservative, Olbermann tends toward the liberal. Yet,Mr. Olbermann constantly vents against O'Reilly while constantly airing his left wing beliefs as well as having lib person after lib person on his show. He's almost as bad as Air America. Most news programs and news commentators ARE on the liberal side. Yet, Fox catches it constantly for being "conservative". I watch all 3 major Cable News ch. and find Fox to be more fair and balanced than the others. I evaluate them on their telling a story the way it is rather than a slant on it..Fox comes closer to filling that bill for me.. - Reply to this comment
