I will have to admit that I seldom watch you. Satallite carries much more interesting programming. I am on the Media Research Center's mailing list. I understand from them you and cbs are all for the illegal aliens. The illegal aliens use up a large amount of this country's resources, with out putting anything back.

Personally, if I had my way. The troops and agents would have a shoot to kill anyone crossing the border illegally. That may not stop them, but it would sure slow them down.

Katie,
I saw your story today about the 1st armored division-what wasn't mentioned is that this is the SECOND time this unit has been extended. The last time they were there, they were extended an additional 3 months to a very violent section of Iraq. Now they are being extended another 46 days -they are in Ramadi-another very violent area of Iraq. As I have a soldier in the 1st armored div, I thought this fact needs to come out too. It might be interesting to find out how many units are extended and how many TIMES they are being extended...

Dear Katie,

I would like to know how they can justify spending more than a million dollars on the superdome when there are STILL people in New Orleans who are homeless. I love football too but I believe that the homeless are FAR more important then the superdome.

Thank You

Katie,

Why be so hard on the TSA. They reacted quickly to be sure that the threat would be eliminated. Then, after more detailed study and experimentation, they have released a less restrictive and more helpful rule. This doesn't make things more confusing and if anyone thinks so they can simply ignore the new rule and continue to carry nothing onboard. The bottom line is that they're only working to protect us.

Katie

I am apalled by many aspects of President Bush's policies but as someone who grew up and was in the army in the VietNam era, I am apalled and ashamed of what is going on with soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan. In VietNam, soldiers served ONE tour of duty (13 Months) and never had to go back unless they volunteered.

Watching RESERVES and NG go back multiple times is very disturbing. This is a case of the govt taking advantage of people who signed up to be available in times of emergency. After 4 years, it is hard to see this as an emergency except for the lack of planning of the federal govt.

Why is no one harping on this mistreatment of our brave and loyal reserves? If Mr. Bush wants to wage a multi-year war, he needs to tell the nation about what we need to do with the military to make it happen including a draft which will certainly lead to the defeat of republicans

Thank you
