- That was brilliant, Katie. Letting Condi write her own interview! That was interesting stuff and we should consider the contents of this interview to be mitigating circumstances in Condi's war crimes trial. Oh, that's right, there won't be a war crimes trial, because unless it's a P R stunt only the loser's face war crimes. So Condi will probably just become a future U.S. President. And we were hoping you would run for U.S. President so we could have a President for the U.S. citizens. Did you ask Condi if the Chevron Condi Rice Oil Tanker was named after her when she worked for Chevron, or after she began working for the President?

- Thank you for your insights into our Secretary of State. I firmly believe that she is probably the most underappreciated member of the administration. Given the fact that many of our aviators had endured over a decade of targeting by the now defunct regime, that the country failed to cooperate with United Nations resolutions regarding the %u2018no-fly zone%u2019, and Saddam Hussein%u2019s track record of civil bloodletting, Secretary Rice brings the insight and leadership that our country needs to address the birth of that new government. The rather critical %u2018Free Speech%u2019 piece done on her earlier this week certainly deserves this counterpoint. Thank you again%u2026 for balancing your broadcast.

- Katie,
What's with the Condi Commercial? I hope your interview was more than the typical set of softball questions. I hope you asked her about why she lied so many times about WMD s in Iraq, and how she feels about the tens of thousands of innocent civilians who have died as a result of their needless War. Did you ask her about the $300 Billion we've spent, or if she is aware that the Bush Wars have killed more Americans than Osama did on 9-11?
Did you ask her about the Downing street memos? Perhaps why the Office of Strategic Plans was set up by Cheney and Rummy to end run the career CIA to send "intelligence" from fake/discredited sources into the White house? So many questions to ask. I'm sure you must have covered something besides how smart (yes the Iraq Invasion was brilliant!) and peppy she is. - Reply to this comment
- Love it, I only get to watch Katie and CBS through the web because I am from the Philippines. But I will watch it online as soon as the Condi Profile becomes available in our cbsnews.com. I am a huge fan Katie of your work and performance, you have such "charisma" which is no doubt why now CBS Evening News is the most viewed news broadcast today. My congratulations for a job well done.
