They won't vote him out. He brings home the bacon. They don't care how immoral the guy is.

Exactly.

The whole "appropriations" process needs to be overhauled.

This is why we need term limits for Congress, but hey he will get voted back in and the defendants to term limits will claim a victory. Cause you know they consider elections term limits.

Liars, all. We need to clean house of ALL incumbents; pass stringent ethics rules, and let the people get back to governing themselves.

Excuses, excuses, excuses - - - gotta remember Bush/Cheney - - - gotta remember Clinton, etc, etc, etc - - - -
Garbage! ! !
Self-serving, self-interested elected officials "bringing home the bacon" to their electorate instead of benefiting this nation and all it's taxpaying citizens are CROOKS ! !
Stupid "he's our man" mentality keeps them in office where term limits don't exist.
Only voters can create term limits for career politicians - - at every election.
There's a difference between "stupid" & "ignorant"
Stupid is being without intelligence
Ignorance is being without knowledge
And voters can most often be both ! ! ! ! !
We need Americans - - - not hyphenated Americans - - and not selfish, greedy Americans

I sincerely hope this senator and all involved in this scam are sent to prison. Then they can start at the top of the list and investigate every single senator and congressman and ex-president for the last 50 years.

95% of them should be behind bars.

When you accept a bribe in the form of a campaign contribution as all of them do, it should be labeled as such and both parties prosecuted. Outlawing campaign contributions of any kind with mandantory death sentences for violation would be a great step in taking back our country.

And we need a constitutional amendment removing the word "Honorable" from the official mockery of titles of congressmen and senators.

Change it to "Don't trust with a 10ft pole."

Murtha is another tired, old yesterday's politician like Cheney, McConnell, Reid, Pelosi etc. He, like the rest, needs to go and make way for our Future - without them.

Tax-exempt status ought to be taken from all businesses and organizations that are ABUSING it's intent!!!

I agree, also with the tax exemtion for religious organizations. Even though I am a christian I belive everyone should have to pay their fair share. Here is an interesting point. I live in Germany and the Catholic Church is allowed to tax German citizens. My wife pays approximatley 200 dollars a year to the Catholic church, is'nt that a hoot?

Corruption, waste & outright fraud are rampant in defense etc. contracting and have been for a long time, but never greater than Bush&Cheney admin. with the war they created in Iraq with lies -which has enriched many a contractor, especially Haliburton, and bankrupted the American people. That bottomless deficit you see is thanks to them .
In return, US soldiers got inferior equipment and services to fight an impossible "war" and neglect for the injuries they suffered, while much of that money disappeared, unaccounted for. The real reasons B&C wanted that "war" have not yet all been exposed, but it sure was never really to free Iraq, destroy Al Qaeda or make America safe.
Let's not forget what the lobbyists & GOP dominated Congress did for us, too - taking campaign contributions, pay to play, bribes & favors to new heights while they shut down Congressional ethics committees & investigations so the corruption could continue unchecked. And, so many of those "fly boys' from prior wars felt "entitled' to profit, like Duke Cunningham. Then there were those 'earmarks' which became so handy
since they could be easily hidden.
All who took advantage of their positions as elected reprsentatives, who betrayed our trust & squandered our money , should be held accountable, investigated and prosecuted appropriately. The corruption has been widespread. We must learn how this happened so that it never again can happen on such a large scale. The American people must ask the questions, demand honest answers and not be so complacent and easily led, especially into wars,

Mr. Murtha is just another long time Washington politician whose conduct discredits his position to the degree that it would be better if he was NO LONGER a representative!

I find it very difficult to believe this defense contractor should have a tax-exempt status!

I also hold the same opinion of certain religious organizations who 'hide behind God' while their preachers give political lectures to their congregations, send out fliers regarding voting, hold fund-raisers for candidates, drive parishioners to the polls, etcetera!

Tax-exempt status ought to be taken from all businesses and organizations that are ABUSING it's intent!!!

Ho hum. The score is still **ZERO**.

Zero people have received a prison sentence for crimes related to the current financial crisis.

I would love to see this disgrace go to jail. He threw military members under the bus for his own political gain and when they wanted to sue, hid behind his office. He owes those he slandered an apology but he doesn't have the guts. Typical Democratic left loon. Speaks out of both sides of his mouth.
