CBS News Investigates: Web Postings Expose Racist Ideals Of Men Accused Of Plotting Killing Spree
- Point of information: stormfront.org is NOT a white supremacist site. It is a white "separatist" site. There is a big difference. Separatism does not imply supremacy, it denotes a desire to live separately.
Now, if one thinks that the NAACP,say, is a black supremacist organization, then I suppose the same mindset would exist for a white organization. But my understanding is that NAACP members don''t think themselves superior, they are simply promoting black interests. Same for white organizations, and ceratinly true of the stormfront forum.
I don''t think there is anything wrong with concern for your racial group''s particular interests, to the degree those are unique interests. Let''s dispose of the hypocrisy with which we view "white" advocacy groups. White groups have as much right to promote their interests as any other demographic. For crying out loud, our presidential candidates go to give speeches at "La Raza," or "The Race," an Hispanic advocacy group, and some of their members openly call for the death and maiming of "white" people, as well as "blacks." Anybody upset about that? - Reply to this comment
- All Americans are created equal, it says so in the constitution. The founding fathers founded America because they wanted to get away from persicution. And I believe that is what you are promoting with your racial formate.

- Some of you so called Republicans need to grab your hoods and put them on your heads. The best thing that McCain could do is to say that the so called assasination plot was a dispicable thing. BUT DOES HE? Or like the Wizard of Oz, he doesn''t have courage, brains or a heart! Sure that Palin calls Obama a terrorist, a muslim. BLOOD ON HER HANDS? What about that BIG campaign contributuin that McCain got from G. Gordon The Terrorist PLUBER Liddy? And Jos the Plumber? Has no plumber''s license?Only makes 40K a year and owes 1100 in back taxes to the feds? Sent $100 to to the McCain campaign now has a book deal? This guy couldn''t write his own name. I SMELL AN RNC PLANT! IT STINKS! I live not to far from Bells, TN. It is a descent small town. The real sick people I think are these boys parents who probably planted the vile seeds of hatred and distrust in his brain years ago. JOHN MCCAIN, please stand up!
I am voting for Obama. Md. McCAIN PLEASE STAND UP FOR DESCENCY! You are a goog man and a war hero. PLEASE STAND UP AND SAY THAT ANY ASSASINATION PLOT IS DISPICABLE! - Reply to this comment

- Who are these cowardly, racist, so called "white people" idiots???? He should rephrase his my space and note that, "if we didn''t have people like him, would we have the problems we do now? I think not!! Get rid of the so called group of "white power" (ridiculous!) and the world would be a better place!

- Unfortunately, our society is rift of limited intellect individuals such as these two. I''d also include the malcontents in West Hollywood that are hanging an effigy of Palin with an effigy of McCain overlooking the hanging while being engulfed in flames showing the Republican party symbols also burning. Our society has become much too tolerant of these types of deranged behavior, with any prosecution generally not stiff enough to either set an example or serve as a deterrent.. The deranged criminal limited intellect individual will rear it''s disgusting and vile head so long as our system allows them to do so. Politics aside, neither instance is acceptable in a presumed orderly society with law abiding citizens.

- Homeland Security, put up or shut up. You can go after real terrorists or keep harassing elderly women and children at the airport who have "terrorist list" last names.

- "This is true, but the fact of the matter is, in study after study done time after time, the basest form of "morality" take over when someone has complete control over another. For whatever reason people shout "Color power", the phrase automatically proclaims the superiority of one color over another. The reasons we have for feeling the way we do have a lot to do with the racism and bigotry we endured over the years, but now we have to realize as Dr. King said, " We will either live together as brothers or perish as fools."

I agree and I don''t support any time of "color power" screaming. I was just pointing out to the person who make the comparision that the two were coming from different places. I had hoped we would have gotten better with this race stuff after 9/11. After all, the airplanes never asked what color American you were. We are all Americans. That should be enough. - Reply to this comment
