shortestfuse- You are correct it was Bush''s agenda to invade Iraq, but he could not have without the support of congress, and I think that most of both parties voted to give him the power. Then in the last two years the Dems. have been in power of the congress and senate and they keep funding the Iraq war. Now I am glad they have but they are the ones who funded it. I did not agree with the invasion but I fully disagree with pulling out before there is a stable goverment there. Why?? If we leave before a stable goverment we will have a much worse issue in the all of the middle east and we will be back there in major force the next time if we did that. I will agree with you that in the last 2 years the Dems. have been spending like mad. The 6 years before that the Reps. was spending even more. So it is time we got rid of the congress and senate and put new ones in their place, will take us about 6 years to do that. I would suggest that we keep some of both parties cause there are ones on both sides trying to do the right thing, The Blue Dog dems try their best. And a few of the Reps. Rest can go.

Power Liberals, otherwise known as Neo-Cons, implement Liberal goals through a realist approach. They emphasize the importance of unilateral military force to promote Liberal Democracy and capitalism throughout the international community. The Bush administration can be legitimately categorized under this variant of Liberal Theory. Its policy of nation-building and the Democratization process in Afghanistan and Iraq prove that the Bush administration is Liberal. No other figure in history has attempted such an international Democratization task which is the root principle of Liberal Theory.
Conservatives tie the term Liberal with issues such as abortion, gay-rights, taking prayer out of school and other divisive subjects; they can%u2019t comprehend or grasp the true meaning of the term. If one was to make an observational comment of this misinterpretation of the term, there are only two words that come to mind that were mentioned earlier; hypocritical and ignorant. So the next time one chastises another for being a Liberal, ask that individual if they supported the Bush administration and its policies. If they answer yes, then they are supporting one of the biggest Liberals around. So with that same rational; that means they%u2019re a Liberal too.

Well the invasion of Iraq was Bush''s agenda, and the republican run house of rep. and Senate went right along with him. And it was his tax cuts for the rich and the republican congress that went along with that as well - basically the republicans, in the last 8 years, have doubled the national deficit - yes, that''s what i''m saying.

shortestfuse- Ok so you are telling me that congress took us into debt by another 5 Trillion dollars. Was this what you were trying to say Bush did. If so I will assume you have no ideal of how our goverment works, since the only thing the President can do is suggest a bill, and then sign it or veto it. Congress does all the spending not the President. He only approves it and if he does not approve it, congress can still spend it by override.

txgrouch2007-THAT''''S WHAT THE LIBERAL AGENDA HAS TAUGHT THEM TO DO.

You are so right, the liberal agenda is to keep them poor and the more they can get to stay poor (their kids) the more votes they get. I understand why the poor votes for Dems. cause they know the dems will give the money and they won''t have to work. Only reason.

shortestfuse- There are a lot of hard working poor people who can''''t afford to go to school, and even if they could afford it they wouldn''''t be able to pay their bills and go to school at the same time.

Give me a Break, if they wanted to improve themselfs they would find a way to get to school. This is just one more excuse, I know lots of people who work go to school and raise a family.. You want to know what is the matter with America, your ideal of letting people get off using some excuse that does not hold water.

When Bush became president 8 years ago, the national deficit was around 5 Trillion dollars - a lot of money. It''s now over well over 10 Trillion dollars - more than doubled in the span of one presidency.

There are a lot of hard working poor people who can''t afford to go to school, and even if they could afford it they wouldn''t be able to pay their bills and go to school at the same time, so they have no choice but to work just to make ends meet, with no hope of being able to get rich. To equate being poor with being lazy is ignorant.

@ robert2237 re: " Tell me how Bush destoryed the country??"

They Warned Us About the Mortgage Crisis

State whistleblowers tried to curtail greedy lending%u2014and were thwarted by the Bush Administration and the financial industry

The Bush Administration and many banks clung to what is known as "preemption." It is a legal doctrine that can be invoked in court and at the rulemaking table to assert that, when federal and state authority over business conflict, the feds prevail%u2014even if it means little or no regulation.

hhusted- Yes being poor is a state of mind and a lot of our people are taught that they are poor and others should give them a handout. If you are broke you just don''t have any money, I have had that problem a couple of times, business went under and lost everything but never though I was poor only broke. But it don''t take long to pick yourself up and get back on your feet. Not broke any more, making good money starting my 2nd business well might not depending on who gets in office. But if the right one gets in office will start it in Jan. if the wrong one gets in office will invest my money in Muni Funds so I don''t have to pay the out of site taxes small business will have to pay.

Kellyhault- Tell me how Bush destoryed the country?? And don''t say he caused this credit mess, if you read what really happened here and listen to what Clinton has said you will see that both parties had a part and two people in congress were the main ones Dobbs and Franks. So tell me.

Give me a Break medical bills to high that is a real bunch of BS. Everone knows medical bills the last thing to pay, even a nut knows that. They bought houses they should have never had. Some people should be renting only because of their income or ability to handle their money. Look if they had been required to put a 20% down on a house you know they can handle their money but when you get a 110% loan and use your welfare check for your income well you know that house will be in default in a few months. But we can keep saying it is Bush''s fault but as Clinton said some things that happened during his time caused some of this others happened in 2004 or 2005 when McCain and others wanted to stop Freddie and Ginnie from what they were doing, but no Dobbs and Franks would not let that happen. Now they are doing the investigation, real smart. We got to get these guys out of congress, I know get rid of most of the Dems. and Reps. you can keep the Blue Dog Dems in and a few of the Reps. but the rest have to go. Starting with that thing they call the speaker of the house.

Being poor is a state of mind, nothing else. I used to be poor. But now I''m not. And I did not take handouts. I just changed my way of thinking and attracted wealth into my life.

Last time I checked we still have a constitution. If you don''t like people calling you out, then don''t play in the realm of freedom of speech. You want to fix the country, then do your homework better and hold ALL THOSE responsible, accountable.

It started with Regan - that demented demagogue who is worshipped by Bill Clinton and Bush Sr., Bush Jr., and John McCain. He prophesied that government regulation was bad for business and bad for the country. All of his worshipers bought into that foolishness. Regan''s name is still invoked today even though he has proven to be a false, foolish, and dangerous prophet. Capitalism is the best economic system in existence, but it lends itself to absolute greed if there is no oversight. Yes, our oversight needs improving, but it should have never been abandoned.

Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention, I am not worried about what the economy will do. Wall Street can crash for all I care. My world does not work around them. My world revolves around what I do and accomplish, which is good.
