- aldon61,
Here''s something else:
Republicans controlled the 1920s. Result: Great Depression
Republicans controlled the 1980s. Result: Savings and Loan debacle
Republicans controlled the 2000s. Result: Credit Crisis
What do all these things have in common? GREED. - Reply to this comment
- so she lied about the bridge to nowhere - she raised taxes - hired a lobbyist to get more pork - built a hockey rink with heated seats - doesn''t believe in Darwin or the science behind Global Warming - didn''t even have a passport until 2007 - and her social ills comments sounds a lot like the "midnight basketball" programs that the Repubs skewered for inner city kids. And she is up for VP. swell.

I think you have that backwards. Isn''t Obama now on "oops, the troop surge worked" and "oh, I guess I won''t repeal the Bush tax cuts during a recession" kick? How about his FISA vote? His slowness to recognize the truth about Georgia and then eventually adopting the position that McCain took immediately? Sounds to me like Obama is the one adopting his opponent''s positions after realizing that his inexperience led him to the wrong conclusion. Repeatedly. He''s trying to tack to the center, but it''s hard to dump all that left-wing, liberal baggage in enough of a hurry to try to fool voters. - Reply to this comment

Mccain/bush tax cuts will add $4.3 trillion to the national debt according to one Mccain economic adviser. Mccain says he does not know much about economics.

- tuckerndfw,
I hope you are right. If we elected another idiot because he doesn''t make me feel stupid OR because I''d like to go out with him for a beer (or sleep with her), we will truly deserve whatever happens to this country with the idiots in charge of it. Just say no to Banana Republics. - Reply to this comment
