I am in shock !!! A segment on IED injuries and deaths in Iraq was investigated and led to the discovery that the company that was supposed to be creating detection and protection from them was handled by an incompetent, inexperienced, understaffed company (MZM) that received bounteous TOP SECRET ear-marked funds via our former Naval hero, MiG ace, Randy Cunningham who, in turn, received millions from MZM in Champaign funds.

I am so near tears that it is unspeakable -- The offences he is in prison for were so shocking several years ago .... when your hero falls on his own sword is bad enough all by itself! And now, to learn that his actions are directly responsible for so much pain, suffering and loss of lives.

The other day I suggested to you that politicians should be charged and punished for their crimes.

Suddenly, I feel Cunningham should be charged as an accessory to murder and given the death sentence. We damned surely did not send him to Vietnam in a defective Phantom!

Additional charges could be "War Crimes", " Crimes Against Humanity", misappropriation of funds, money laundering, blatant theft, Aiding and Abetting the Enemy, Treason.

Are there "civilian" law violations regarding this situation ? As a retired military officer, is this punishable under the UCMJ by the military ?

I am just so over-whelmed by this - I wish I could puke. This is far beyond despicable!

Whether or not this company did its job, the only reason terrorists started using IEDs is that they knew the Liberals would hold up the head of each dead American like it was a war trophy - and the News Media would spread their propaganda.

They are the real murderers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bush apologists regularly hold our troops up like a shield while they hide behind them using distortions, subterfuge, and outright lies as their sword.
They have nothing else to fight with or use in defense of the Iraq fiasco, not to mention a total lack of moral character and/or integrity.
We knew this to be the case. We just weren''t aware of the particulars. I''m afraid this is just the beginning of a very sordid expose in D.C. scandals that will rock the House. Stay tuned for John Ashcroft''s testimony before Congress. -heh-
There are many of us who believe lynching is an appropriate response to corruption. There are more than a few that are past due.
My response:
1. Excellent points!
2. The number who believe lynching or public mandated justice is appropriate, is growing each day!
3. When those in the justice system fail to enforce the law against ALL uniformly and without prejudice, then you don''t really HAVE a justice system at all anymore!
4. Three (3) above being the case, the citizenry is no longer under ANY obligation to abide by the law. And may attempt to re-establish government, law, and the social order as best they can.
5. Agreed. There are many who need to have justice applied to them for their crimes!
The U.S. Government meat-grinder enterprize. U.S. troops are expendable assets, MZM/IEDs make money for the military and the White House regime. This is the Bushwackers creative financing.
This has happened with every contractor in Iraq one way or another. In this case, people were killed. This is criminal and just another addition to the long list of crimes committed by this administration. This is outright murder, and the charges should be filed from the the top to the bottom. But it won''t happen because the American public will just sit back and let these criminals continue on their destruction of America for profit.
NO doubt this is just the Tip of the Ice Burge so to speak. Eventually we will discover and uncover these thieves and deal with them. We have seen enough Funerals of the young men and women killed in Iraq for OIL and profit. Vote the bums out.
My comments are as follows:
1. This scumbag, Cunningham (R-CA), needs to be tried for the additional charge of treason.
2. Someone in Congress needs to wake up, go through these so-called classified earmarks, find out if the work these contracts represent is being done and if so correctly?!
3. Between under supplying troops at the start of the war; lack of bullets, bulletproof vests, MRAPs, sticking them in dilapidated buildings while waiting for medical care, denying them medical care, trying to charge them for care, getting them to buy insurance they didn''t need, having them involuntarily serve additional tours, extending tours, and now endangering their lives by putting contract work in the hands of incompetents, this administration has completely and uttering FAILED to conduct this war in ANYTHING that approaches what could be deemed a reasonable and acceptable manner!
4. As time goes on, it becomes clearer that the real purpose this war was started---was to make a ''fast buck'' by Bush, Cheney, and assorted Republicans in Congress at the expense of the lives of our troops, Iraqi citizens, world peace, and the vitality of the U.S. economy!
5. May God grant them and their supporters their just rewards!
The pieces came together when Cunningham and Wade were prosecuted in a wide-ranging bribery scandal. Egland is convinced that the classified earmarks didn''t just waste your tax dollars - they cost American lives.
"People died because of this program being done the way it was?" Attkisson asked.
"I really believe so. Absolutely," Egland said. "I mean the troops wanted to target these networks. But without this critical capability, that was given to unqualified people, they weren''t able to."
There is an antisocial patient on the ward....he can whine and cry just like Duke did when caught. They don''t care if people die for their greed. Sociopaths don''t care, and sociopaths are running this country...running it into ruin.
In an exclusive interview, Egland told us he discovered stunning lapses on the part of MZM, which only hird a third of the employees they were paid for
Sounds like the whining republican legislatures that talk about the need to cut spending and increase efficiency. Staffing decreases, work load increases but where does the savings goes? Straight to the pockets of these antisocial azzholes.
What an even more sad day for the families who have lost their Soldiers, worse than hearing their loved ones are dead. Our ''trusted'' elected officials. Force them to have their children enlist in a branch of service and have their children sent overseas to fight this war - see what action they would then take. This is beyond shameful, this is beyond sickening, beyond disheartening. I fell to my knees when I heard this report. I have no more tears. I can''t cry anymore.
There, Egland did some digging and found MZM had gotten millions in Defense contracts - courtesy of Rep. Duke Cunningham, R-Calif., in the form of earmarks, grants of money without the normal public review.
-----------
R-Calif.
