How typical. I along with 1,000''s of other veterans have put up with this type of treatment for years. I had hoped that now the troops are coming in from Iraq that things would change, but looks like it is still the same old B.S. - just a different time, that''s all.

The Bush administration has the damned nerve to accuse Democrats of not supporting our troops, when this administration treats them like c-rap when they get home. From the Walter-Reed hospital scandal to this!

AaaBbb: Also agree with your post. Both of those a-holes should be ashamed, but unfortunately, people like them follow their war-mongering leader''s example in Washington. As for McVet, I personally like his posts, don''t always agree with him, but usually do! He sure has a flair, doesn''t he?

This woman should be fired. Her e-mail is against all that the VA stands for and not to mention her oath as a medical professional.

SGTrds-E4: Like your new handle! I also agree with your posts here. I know drawing and quartering is out of the question, and of course, we can''t Physically torture her, but do you think we can water board Ms Peres? Maybe we''ll find out how deep this sort of thinking is in the VA; wonder how far up it runs?

this is the kind of *** we will all be subject to when we have "universal health care." remember that the VA is a government health agency.

I don''t know what makes me sadder, that our troops can''t get the help they need or that they have to come home to the likes of these two.

jamesm12341 and willymack4 have the right to post their opinions on these boards, from behind the safety of their computers, safety those same veterans are right now buying for them with their own blood, lives, limbs, and yes, sanity.

That these two choose to mock, and try to hurt veterans is a sign that some Americans refuse to acknowledge how dangerous and disturbing the guts of war really is; to kill because someone told you to, to bomb, to shoot weapons, to see the results of mechanized destroyers on human bodies, men, women, and kids, and to have one''s mind and life twisted by war''s reality, with no way to forget what they had to see and do, and no reset buttons.

Perhaps these two could have signed up for Iraq themselves, but chose instead to fight at home, to fight their own countrymen, to spit on their own veterans, because it makes them feel superior about the fact that they chose to keep their precious buttts safe and let others do the fighting and have the nightmares for them...kinda like Bush and Cheney.

Video game heros, these two, using freedoms that our Soldiers bought for them to bash our veterans.

You got to love the neo con party now they are waking up and seeing the storm. Now they want to batten down the hatches.

Notice now that another neo con fell in a neo con district the other day they want to re-brand themselves.

Too little too late the storm was forming over 2 years ago. Now it has already moved into position and you neo cons did nothing to but ignore the voice of the American people.

You neo cons should remember this flip-floping is bad if you are a fish. On the other hand if you represent the people it is good.

Blood bath coming 23 neo con seators up for re-election in Noember. I wonder how many will fall and in the house 30, 40 or more.

Not only is the VA at fault is mis-diagnosis but the SSA is just as bad (if not worse). We send our soldiers to foreign lands to fight the politician''s wars and when they return we disown them. They deserve a hell of a lot more than this.

Oh sure, dump billions of dollars a month on a stinking oil war that''ll never be won, screw up the guys heads that are over there, then give them a lesser diagnosis, just to save a few bucks. Do these idiots at that VA facility and in Washington realize just how many vets could be taken care of from just one months war budget? You scream of taxpayer,s money being wasted on the vets that were screwed up by unpopular wars, yet taxpayers are paying for these wars in the first place. I say tough S... for the VA and Washington clowns. You mess the vets up, you pay the price, PERIOD. Washington pulled this *** back in WW1, and they knew the only way they''d get sign-ups for WW2 was to take care of the prior WW1 vets. Then they pulled it again in Korea and Vietnam. This country owes a huge debt to ALL VETS who served in All wars. Take care of your vets, or the next war you want to start, may not have ANYONE to fight it for you. It''s easy to make comments negative to supporting or paying for Veteran care while your sitting safely at home, so why don''t you just get off your keaster and go over to where the war is and see how well you do when you get back.

There is "ethical" and then there is "legal". This nation needs going over with a fine tooth comb. The system is dangerously less transparent and instead heaped up with layers of double speak.

Perez will take the hit. Another right wing republican conservative with everyone but themselves scapegoat. Just like the lowly soldiers involved in torture. These decisions come from illusive thugs higher up on the food chain.

She is probably correct. The problem is they do not treat Adjustment disorder. They need to provide services for Adjustment disorder and that will save money in the long run. But political correctness goes both ways and it is driving this bus.

FTHOODVET

So sorry that you are being treated this way, but things have got to change. When mine was in Nam and came back messed up, there was no help for the families and so many divorced their spouses. I knew mine was not the same man I sent to Nam and we stood by him, it was not easy, but thank God we made it, he died of cancer after we were married 36 years.

My husband died nine years ago, and he was a Vietnam vet. He never applied for PTSD but I know he had it, he would wake up screaming and it was absolutely horrible, drinking excessively, etc. We don''t know why some of these troops get PTSD and others don''t, but I think we should treat them and not let them fall throught the cracks.

Hey all you Perez experts out there ! None of you ever even met the lady. Why don''''t you read her e-mail again. Perhaps she was just appalled at the PTSD rubber stamp being applied to some guys that really do not have it but are glad to get the cash each month. Maybe she is aware that most employers shrink from a PTSD tag on your service record that makes you a potential psyco. Or maybe she is aware that too many parents are quick to give their kids Ryddellin in middle school instead of discipline. If we did not have so many phonies looking for the rubber stamp then more tax payer funds could could be spent on guys really suffering from PTSD ....... like McVet.

I can believe this came from a VA doctor, they live in their own little rose colored world and Veterans are treated like dogs. This doctor should be fired and removed from any office that deals with veterans.THIS SHOULD MAKE PEOPLE TYHINK TWICE BEFORE FIGHTING FOR PEOPLE LIKE THIS IN THIS COUNTRY.SOUNDS LIKE INSIDE VA TALK THAT SHE WAS NOT TO REPEAT.GIVES VETERANS AN IDEA WHAT TO EXPECT FUTHER DOWN THE ROAD. SHE WAS ONLY REPEATING WHAT ONE OF HER MEETINGS WAS ABOUT.
AMERICA ,AMERICA WHERE HAVE YOU GONE WHEN YOU DO VETERANS,CHILDREN,HELPLESS,AND OLD PEOPLE WRONG.STANDING BY YOUR COUNTRY IS HARD TO DO WHEN THEY DON''T STAND BY YOU.

Whenever Bush or Cheney need medical treatment they should have to go to the same VA hospitals as real vets do.

You can''t even get them to attend one of the Funerals for the thousands of Military members they''ve murdered for profit. The VA is just for the "Little People",....not for Royalty....
