"Philosophy provides questions that cannot be answered, religion poses answers that cannot be questioned."

honestabe8, I find it funny that they very often seem to think that "somehow we really do believe" in God. We "are afraid to admit it" or "are afraid of the consequences" or something like that. Ridiculousness. If they could only see how strange it looks from an outsiders perspective. I actually went to church just to be open minded the last two sundays and I literally almost laughed out loud at the site of a 30 year old man being baptised, having water poured on his head.

Also, George...are you insinuating that atheists hate something in which they do not believe? How is that possible? Can you love a being in which you do not believe?

"God said to Abraham, ''Kill me a son'' Abe said ''Man, you must be putting me on'', God said ''No'', Abe said ''what?'', God said ''Do what you must do, BUT, the next you see me coming you''d better run'', Abe said ''Where''d you want this killin'' done?'' God said ''Out on Highway 61''."

So, George...all atheists are motivated by hatred and evil?

Voltaire777, it is wrong that people judged you in such a manner, calling you things not fit for print. It is wrong. It is not right in any way. But just because some, or even most, Christians may be like that, it does not mean all are.

Is it any wonder that people make fun of religion when idiocy like this comes along?

Voltaire777, I do not attack or condemn you for being atheist and gay. Not in the least. In fact, most of my friends are atheists!

Also, do you really think I am to blame for the actions of others? For all ''fake Christians''? The only things over which we have absolute control are our own thoughts and actions. We cannot control the thoughts and actions of others in any way. Likewise, I cannot control the actions of ''fake Christians''.

I don''t condemn you. Please do the same.

I do not believe in ''preaching'' my religion to you. Those who say ''I''m right and if you disagree with me then YOU''RE WRONG''...I am not one of those people. I do not believe in forcing my beliefs on anyone, or of preaching them to people.

"Why did you even read and participate in this article?"

"I don''''t try to be profound. I merely relay a message..."

I read this article for my own personal amusement. Good thing you are not trying to be profound - too bad your favorite book is.
