22 children being exploited and used for the money-grubbing adults in their lives.... John & Kate + Octomom should be ashamed of themselves, but that will never happen...They are too selfish and self indulging....

Hmmmmm... I just "stumbled" upon this article. Somehow I totally missed this story five years ago, or I forgot, or I really didn't care. I am not prone to get hooked on this kind of story.

While triplets are rare and twins are less rare, four or more could be considered a "litter" and somewhat not human-like.

So, does that mean we are evolving backwards? Will women continue to have more and more "litters?" Only animals have litters, and there's a reason.

Obviously this is the result of fertility drugs. Why do women take fertility drugs when they must know the result could be a "litter" of offspring that they could not possibly afford?

In all of recorded history there is only one known set of identical quintuplets: The Dionne sisters; five babies from the same zygote. They were born 74 years ago, well before the influence of fertility drugs, and they all survived to become adults, although three died in their early adult years.

Most of the fertility-induced conceptions are the result of too many embryos being transplanted.

If I were these two, I would be seriously trying to stay together. Maybe not a happily-ever-after-married-couple, but for sure as co-breadwinners. I don't see how either can individually afford their current lifestyle. Jon would have to work 15 jubs just to pay child support. They need this show to last until the kids graduate from college.

Makes you wonder what they would have done if they had not been offered this show.

They have created a mess for themselves.

Just think of the Child Support he will have to pay for 18 years. He will be living in a van down by the river.

I watched the show and felt terrible watching them but Jon and Kate put themselves and their children out there for all to see. It is like watching a train wreck approaching those little children oblivious of what is going on. I hate myself for watching because that is part of the problem. I understand the ratings for this episode is record high so more of these type of shows will continue. I can just see tv execs considering follow-up shows like...

Kate + 8 - Jon
Jon - ( Kate + 8 )
Kate + Octomom + 22

Good Lord. I am so tired of these reality show whor.es who do NOTHING to deserve the fame and money they receive. I'm also disgusted by the mainstream media who report stories like this as if they're actually newsworthy.

Let the entertainment shows report on these talentless idiots, ok?

All I am asking is would someone who actually watches the show regularly PLEASE explain what the attraction of it is? Why are you watching it? I have seen many good shows on TV in the past but they are gone now, and these reality shows seem to have taken their place.
