Bloggers Blast Outdoor Magazine For Firing Jim Zumbo After He Said Assault Rifles Have No Place In Hunting

Yes, this is the whole point here.
He didn't say anything anti-gunish, just anti-assault rifleish, and I think that he has the right to say it unless he has been contracted not to. - Reply to this comment

I agree, that's why I don't hunt or shoot animals. - Reply to this comment
- I am sorry that I am not a pulitzer prize-winning blogger. I went back and read my last post and it didn't seem to psuck as bad as most - oh well. But I agree with Zumbo and his comments and his right to express them. As far as bow-hunting goes, I like the primitive longbow. That takes practice and I am not "there" yet with my Browning. The biggest hoot I get out of my bow is bowfishing - it is fun and productive! I do not kill what I do not eat.

- prcdr,
Out west some people do use semi-automatic rifes aka "assault rifles" to hunt prairie dogs which are often considered by ranchers and farmers to be "pests" , but in the rest of the country more and more hunters are choosing to use the SKS rifle(which uses the same ammo as the ak-47 rifle) for deer hunting because of good accuracy at a low price. - Reply to this comment

Exactly.

- Incidentally, I agree that it isn't very sporting to use "assault rifles" to hunt, but I support those people that want to do it and who do so in a safe manner.

- To MITYWHITY,
Your deliver s*cks, but your message is clear.
I think bow-hunting is great alternative ...
After the amount of machine gun rounds I fired in the army, blanketing a target, I am tired of all the macho sh*t of assualt rifles, as bow-hunting is actually hunting. - Reply to this comment

My mistake. I have no issue with ownership of these weapons. My only issue is how/where they are used. Have a good day. - Reply to this comment

Maybe if you had better writing skills, people would listen to what you had to say. - Reply to this comment
