Look at it like this you poor ditto head... What the Conservatives and Bush were doing OBVIOUSLY wasn't working was it? Now anyone with a BRAIN and anyone who doesn't depend on Limbaugh for ideas should understand we MUST try something new. One thing is for certain, NO ONE has ever found out a way to solve differences without talking TO each other.... Well unless you plan on blowing EVERYONE up who you don't agree with. The mind of a Ditto Head?? Go Figure! - Reply to this comment

Nobody thought fixing the mess left behind by Bush was going to be easy. But only a fool would not recognize the major strides already accomplished by the Obama administration.
And no, my friend, these will not be complete in 6 months. - Reply to this comment
- Agreed,
I Have never seen any President bring people together and tell the Truth for once.
it is that simple.
Republicans cant handle the truth unless it paints them as some sort of saviors.
the truth is, the Truth has long been overdue.

- His Republican enemies are only setting themselves up to be knocked down. I just love watching my superhero President kick them around. These are good times in America. Great post, Obama has really outdone those wretched republicans, who for the last 30 years created more enemies and terrorists than anyone can imagine. They saw the world as US against the rest of the world. The world soured on America and you see the result. A busted economy at home and abroad. Trading, give and take virtually at a standstill.
The lesson here is, a friendly respectful US foreign policy is a beneficial for Americans and the world. The economy will revert back to a boom from a bust. - Reply to this comment
- It's a great day...now if we can get liberals to stop bashing anyone with a slightly different take on things...we might get somewhere. I don't know you can, in one breath, extoll the virtues of enlightened thinking, broadminded attitudes, and tolerance of cultures and customs all over the world and in the next insult, and bash any one who disagrees with whatever general viewpoint is offered. Liberals want to be the party of love and acceptance and the party that makes sure the Constitution includes everyone...until it comes to dealing with opinions they don't like. This kind of two-faced policy will be what ruins it for all of us. Knock it off.

What a great post. Thank you.
The extremists in both parties are the problem IMO. - Reply to this comment
- Its funny. I always viewed George W Bush as a diminuitive figure with regard to world politics. He desperately wanted to prove he was up to the task, but only came off as arrogant and unable to understand the nuances and complexities of international relationships.
It is so refreshing to see President Obama, the man the Republicans claimed was dangerously naive,so quickly grab the international stage with such force and confidence. He is truely something special. And I believe he is on the precipice of pulling off some truely great things. Particularly with regard to the Israeli/Palestinian issue. - Reply to this comment

"you libs like to call conservative Americans extremists, that is like calling the kettle black, no demograghic in this country is mopre extreme than the left. In fact during the Bush years when are all volunteer army was fighting true extremism you people could only critisize political rivals and still to this day give the terrorists the free ride. If not for those brave young men and women, mostly conservative who have fought are still fighting enemies of freedom trolls like you would not be able to spew your venomous rhetoric."
Funny stuff. You make it seem bad that the left criticizes political rivals while our all volunteer military is fighting extremism. Now, what do you do? You criticize your political rivals while our all volunteer military continues to fight extremism. Remember this. Americans chose Obama. Obama is trying to bring reconciliation to the Middle East. He's offering Iran the ability to negotiate with us without set preconditions. This is exactly what he ran on and part of the reason he destroyed Johnny McBombbomb in the last election. Americans support him by a large majority. Oh, by the way, under what President did more Americans die due to terrorism than under any other Administration? - Reply to this comment

- Interesting article. I like how Egypt is trying to secure itself against immigrants who are not wanted. They should apply the same rules here. Seek and destroy.

- As an American living in Latin America with experience doing business around the world, including "difficult" countries, with a good understanding of different cultures; I would like to mention that for once I can proudly say I'm American without fearing being seen as an ignorant AND arrogant "Gringo". By being represented by an Intelligent President, sensitive of other Peolpe's cultures, we the Americans are becoming integrated with the rest of the World. I think the global frenzy around Obama is a "Welcome Back To Sanity" party from the rest of the world to the U.S.

- President Obama continues to outshine his critics. The blessings of God are upon our President. No matter how hard his adversaries try, they just can't touch him. He continues to ride a wave of popularity which is simply phenomenal given all the challenges that he faces. No other President in our history has been this super.

- Walt, what countries do the Taliban and Alqaeda claim allegiance? What changes in the "war on terror" has Obama made other than not calling it that anymore? Where would you house terrorists captured on foriegn battle fields? Just curious.

- I have heard a lot of inspiring speeches in my 51 years on this earth. I have NEVER seen anyone better or with MORE courage to "tell it like it is" than this young man did yesterday. I sat listening to him lay out to the people in the Middle East and the entire world why WE, the average folks out here, had to try to talk to each other and resist the extremist on ALL sides. Extremist play to our fear of each other, they play to our natural distrust of anyone who we do not know or understand. THAT is why the Extremist in BOTH the Middle East and this Nation were doing all they could to tear down the President and what he said.

- Obama has delivered a speech to the Muslim world, which has been rejected both by Al Qeada somewhere inPakistan and the Neocon Fascist Nazi Republican Party here.
As expected Osama Bin Laden claims the speech is irrelevant and Islam, HIS brand of Islam, will conquer the world. The Neocon Fascist Nazi Republican Party, also as expected, claims the speech made us look "weak" to those nasty, evil Islamics. The former-Great Emperor George W. Bush would never grovel to the Islamic world, unless, of course, it involved money!!!!
As far as making us look "weak", the former-Great Emperor Bush II did a great job of doing that by not destroying Al Qeada and the Taliban, invading countries that had nothing to do with 9/11, running up a deficit in the TRILLIONS of dollars to the STILL-RED Chinese, allow the export of millions of jobs to these very same STILL-RED Chinese, destroying our economy, holding and torturing "enemy combatants" forever at Gitmo, trashing the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, and making life miserable for millions of people here!
Did I leave out anything????
