It would seem so from his comment to my post asking the question.

He has been on here jumping on every opportunity to defend Islam going on 2 1/2 - 3 years now. Just wait until there's another article on Israel on this site....you can count on him going there and trashing Israel and the Jewish people and never mentioning a word about the "Palestinian" terrorists teaching their young to become suicide bombers in an act of shahada for "allah"(which occurs EVERY DAY over there)

brianbwb-2009 - I'm saying that you are disingenious when you claim there is lots of news coverage in the western world news about how Muslims condemn Islamic Terrorists.

You made the claim it exists - I'll be willing to admit I was uninformed if you can give me some substantial proof. But, I honestly can't remember the last time I saw one (article.)

Is it being reported in the fashion it should be ?

You, on the other hand seek to deride me because I call out the lies, so it seems you would rather continue to lie unchallenged about them, which is a rather blatant demonstration of why neos such as yourself are becoming extinct.

As I said....I've seen you blog on these forums for 3 years, and you're always jumping on every opportunity to defend Islam, and trash the hell out of Christianity.

You fool no one brian, despite your continuous efforts to draw attention to yourself.

LOL. what a joke.

To point out a lie is more a castigation of the liar than a defense of those being lied about.

You see, in my business, I come into contact, and do business with all religious groups, and have for long enough that I can easily call out those who lie about the others.

You, on the other hand seek to deride me because I call out the lies, so it seems you would rather continue to lie unchallenged about them, which is a rather blatant demonstration of why neos such as yourself are becoming extinct.

Crescentgirl - so things are looking better already !

Keep posting ! Encourage your friends to also.

The more we share, the more we will see we have in common.

The perception of a lot of people in the US is that Muslims don't complain. We just don't see it in our news, which is why you hear it all the time from us in the western world. Sorry - I understand that can be frustrating.

CBS - GET A CLUE !

"This I have seen, heard, and read from Muslim groups and countries world wide, it is funny that at least some Americans have never seen such, or if they have, pretend they haven't in order to justify even more genocide"

Because I don't see these articles, I'm now a mass murder ?! Let me tell it to you like it is Brian. Not too far to the left, not too far to the right - but right in the middle. That's where you can kiss it.

"They are responsible for funding a large number of madrasas across the muslim world. " Posted by LawyersGuns-n-Money

And Catholics are responsible for funding seminaries across the Catholic world, as Oral Roberts has a privately funded university, so what?

You have been suckered by the neos who have convinced you that a madrassah is a terrorist camp.

They are not, they are the equivalent of K-through-12 schools that are privately funded by individuals and religious groups in countries that either cannot afford to build the number of schools necessary for their populations, of those whose governments don't fund schools that include religious subjects in its curriculum.

You have been lied to, and refuse to seek out the truth, preferring instead to hold on to and repeat the lie, this can only be because you are a willing participant in spreading anti Islam sentiment, the motives of which are pretty transparent.

Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) commented on Pres. Obama's address at Cairo University addressing the Muslim world, saying that offering to speak with Iran makes the U.S look "weak."

Let me get this straight the rest of the world is wrong but you bonehead right. My aunts live in Italy, they the Obama is the best thing that happened to this country after Bush. My firends live all over Western Europe and some new friends in Eastern Europe they think that Obama is the best thing that happened to the US after Bush. Of course a dead dog would be better than the GOP lock step congress and Bush but hey that is my feeling as to how they feel. You bonehead know nothing that is why after 2010 the Republicans or should I say the reactionary party will be more of a minority than they are now.

Go away bonehead before you destory what is left of the GOP.

This is a very good write up by cbsnews.com.
I am glad to see we have finally found a President who is willing to work tirelessly not only for the american people, but for all people. President Obama has a great chance to bring America back to being a proud nation. He deserves alot of credit for what he has done so far in such little time. I would hope all Americans would stand behind this man and give him the support he so deserves. Give him a chance.

"If you don't mind me asking, why do Muslims remain silent to the terrorists that claim to represent them ?"

They are not silent, you simply choose not to hear. Muslims worldwide have not only condemned terrorist attacks on innocent people, they go so far as to deny acceptance of the perps as Muslims. In Indonesia, the country with the largest population of Muslims in the world, so-called "Islamic" terrorists are executed. This I have seen, heard, and read from Muslim groups and countries world wide, it is funny that at least some Americans have never seen such, or if they have, pretend they haven't in order to justify even more genocide, which is the cause of people becoming extremist.

What have you got ? Anything besides the participants in 9/11 being mostly from Saudi Arabia ? Do they dislike us as much as the Palestinians ?
Posted by hoseobama at 1:02 PM : Jun 5, 2009

An odd thing about Saudia Arabia. Yes, they have a monarchy but the ruling power are the religious extremists...Wahabists (sp?) at that. They are responsible for funding a large number of madrasas across the muslim world.

That being said, it's not fair to apply a one sided, extremist view to thier support of said madrasas. They support some pretty vicious ideals as far as human rights but aren't always willing to foment the rhetoric of jihad. Notice I said 'aren't always'. There are still some individuals that will take any opportunity to pervert religion and mold it into a tool of hatred.

Okay, as far as Obama, I'm not a vociferous supporter. But considering our handling of the middle east and the rest of the muslim world duirng past administrations, this is somewhat of a welcome change. It seems this president at least invested some time to at least ATTEMPT to understand the machinations of that region of the world beyond our economic interests. We've employed a rather narrow minded approach in securing those interests by the way.

Now I don't have some grand utopian vision that Obama's speech is the be all, end all to all the frustrations in that area of the world. There are going to be setbacks aplenty, to be sure. But at the very least, he's begun a dialogue. If he can persuade the contruction worker in Indiana that the date farmer in Yemen is not some religious fanatic bent on sending a dirty bomb his way and convince the farmer the construction worker is not some hegemonistic demon bent on razing his property in order make him subservient to our might, that's not too much to ask for right now.

"I have had a few Muslim acquaintences, at work. They have approached me often during break to ask my opinion about something bothering them, as I have tried to befriend them, but I have never felt a complete sence of trust or true frienship. hoseobama"

That's ashame. But it seems that if they are asking your opinion about something, then perhaps they value your judgement and friendship more than you think...i leave that up to you to decide. But, what i have found is that those that have Muslims in their daily life or count them as friends...have more of a favorable view toward Islam than those people that do not.

"Why wouldn't you want to repeat the above more than once ? From your perspective it would be true." Because no one is listening...why would you continually repeat yourself if no one is listening? But, for your benefit i can...terror is bad.

As far as your comment regarding the media reporting it...in case you haven't noticed...yes, the media is biased. A person's perception is based on what they want to see. If you want to see Islam equals terror, then that is for sure what you will see. However, I understand there is bias in the media and we are fed one image after another of cars exploding, etc. it takes a certain type of person to rise above that mind numbing nonsense and seek the truth for himself or herself. Perhaps switching to new media outelts or obtaining your source of news from a more balanced source would help.

And no, i did not mean, you, were lying, hoseobama,....i meant that i have heard this lie about the Muslim community not condemning terrorism perpetuated by different people and sources and infinite number of times. (i'm really tired of hearing it).

And yes, i agree...we shouldn't make it personal. I regret if my remarks hurt you. I think we should follow Obama's example (after all he is our pres) and extend an olive branch instead of hate. Peace to you.

"Totally agree. Can you see why I would ask the question I did ? There is not much on CBS, NBC, FOX, or any other western News agency. And, frankly, as political as they can be, they don't typically lie in unison."

I would rephrase that statement, the news media don't necessarily, to use a musical allegory, play "tutti", but the do often perform the same symphony, as witnessed by the run up to the Iraq invasion, where the media unquestiongly trumpeted the WMD lies by Bush, and helped incite baseless anti Islam fear and calls for genocide that persist to this day.

Before that, there were the "Grenada is a threat to the US", before that, the Tonkin Gulf lie, and the "fighting the spread of communism in Vietnam" lies, and who was the guy from Panama that the media termed "pineapple-face" and accused him of every crime under the sun? (crimes of which, btw, we are even more guilty than Noriega)

Let us not forget to mention the "negro threat".

Yes, the media often does lie in unison.

So - I'll offer a hint of how things are going to go.

Crescentgirl, someone the reports themselves to be one of 1.5 billion Muslims, belligerently calls me a liar and ignorant, beacuse I ask the question:

"If you don't mind me asking, why do Muslims remain silent to the terrorists that claim to represent them ?"

I asked the question because I believe it will cause the terrorists to lose steam if they hear more and more everyday Muslims are upset at them. But Crescentgirl assumes I hate her for being a muslim, and flails away with her anger. I have not been rude to her personally.

THIS is the sort of problem Obama will have with his plan.

Great speech - too bad it won't work - or at least is STARTING to look that way to me.

The muslims want action. How about taking some action of their own by turning on the extremeist thugs who kill innocent people in the name of their religion. Its a two way street .I have yet to hear any muslim leader denounce hamas, hezbollah, al qaida, or the tailban. I do know Pakistan has stepped up along with sunnis in Iraq. But how about the rest of muslim world crushing the terrorists who kill in the name of their religion.

Really, dennisall77 ? Did you think the" (maybe minus the ignorance)" comment was substantiated ? So, you can show me lots of articles where the 1.5 billion have condemned the actions of the Islamic terrorists ?
