It''s funny, but to push it furthur I have the impression that two dreams are competing in that same spot. The greater Syria and the Greater Israel. It''s not a secret anymore the dream of a greater Israel form Mesopotamia to the Nile river, a dream shared mainly by Jewish Zionists. Whereas a Greater Syria is a dream of a local Pan-Syrian-Nationalist party as well. Those local powers are competing, but not to the level of indifference of Israel who have planned a long time ago. Pro-Israeli Jews from Iraq are investing more and more in that spot. And Iran is aware of that fact, hence their animosity to the presence of an Israeli Embryo in its neighborhood.

-FF1, tnx, matter of fact the only concern that may arise is despite all a long-waited opprtunity presents to the Kurdish in the North of Iraq to grab a federated-province with a lot of autonomy. See they are not Arabs and care little about Arabs. They are persecuted by the Turkish as well. Iranian Kurdish are not persecuted but are prevented from separating from Iran. Kurdish are hoping Europe to pressure Turkey to let go a chunk of the densely Kurdish-populated areas in the South-West of the actual Turkey. But Turkey is not complying at all. So again Iraqis are condemned to stay together, since Shiite-Arabs-Iraqis are not welcome to merge with Iran, (never been able to mix together), Sunni-Arab-Iraqis are not welcome in SaudiArabia/Koweit. Sunni-Syrians'' similarity to Sunni-Iraqis, may be the worst danger to the stability of Iraq.
