- Happy, Happy Birthday!! You are such an inspiration. When you sang this morning, you gave me hope and happiness. There's no getting around, growing old ain't easy when you're so young at hear. I'll be 65 this year (yeah, I know, in a land far away and a time long ago which is what I always say to my daughter who's turning 25 this year) and I am blessed with the mind of a 17 year old (very mature). The next time I look in a mirror I will smile. Thank you ever so.

- Charles Osgood, you really got me this morning. I have been watching you every Sunday morning since you took over Sunday Morning, but this morning....you hit a nerve. The pain of old age can be tough but you reminded me how important it is to savor all those special moments that make me smile. Happy, happy birthday, hope to be watching YOU for many years to come.

My gratitude for your humanity, kindness, intelligence that every time is warming up my soul, the music of your voice, smile on your friendly face, your loyal presence in my life and soon eighty years of being you, again I thank you.
