I agree with the reporter, everyone knows that Bush had those buildings attacked on 9/11 so he and his cronies could reap billions in war profits. CBS should run more stories about how Bush and Cheney blew up the levees in New Orleans to kill blacks. The same reason he orchestrated the 9/11 attacks was to kill poor blacks because everybody knows that the military is made up of primarily poor blacks. This is a giant plot brought on by the Masons and the other secret societies that run this country to destroy all but those people chosen by the society.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/05/10/eveningnews/main694345.shtml Another of many CBS stories trashing our military. This one about recruiters supposedly having to lie to get people to join. Your track record of trashing the military doesn\'t just go away by denying it Mr. Vehers.

TallDave, Good post. Another reporter (this one from the New York Times) comes out admitting that the media is overwhelmingly Democrat and it effects their news. http://select.nytimes.com/2005/10/11/opinion/11tierney.html?hp Last week it was a Washington Post reporter saying the same thing. \"On Thursday, Book World Editor Marie Arana, noting that she had been \"a Young Republican at 15, a marching SDSer at 20, and roundly disgusted by the blue-team, red-team political dialogue by the time I turned 30,\" criticized an article on what was called a \"stealth evangelism\" festival by saying: \"The elephant in the newsroom is our narrowness. Too often, we wear liberalism on our sleeve and are intolerant of other lifestyles and opinions. . . . We\'re not very subtle about it at this paper: If you work here, you must be one of us. You must be liberal, progressive, a Democrat. I\'ve been in communal gatherings in The Post, watching election returns, and have been flabbergasted to see my colleagues cheer unabashedly for the Democrats.\" [Executive Editor Len] Downie says he is concerned if some staffers are openly displaying political preferences but that Arana\'s comments were valuable and \"made clear that we do have a diverse staff when it comes to ideological backgrounds.\" http://washpost.com/employment/newsroom/emp_bio2.shtml

Mr. Ververs, Please don\'t tell me that the CBS and the rest of the press is NOT anti-military. You are wasting not only your time but valuable bandwith. The amount of press given to low recruiting numbers vs. the amount of press given to record reenlistment rates is highly slanted in favoring bad news for the media. As has the Guantanamo and Gitmo coverage when this has been the most fairly, humanely prosecuted war, most likely ever, in comparison to other wars. This story though, just reeks of media elitism and disbelief that anyone disagrees with the standard media line of no connection between terrorism and Iraq.

It is a niggling criticism by itself, but less so when you consider that the media constantly harps on the idea that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11, and consistently fails to mention Saddam\'s many many other ties to terrorism, including sheltering Abu Abbas, Abu Nidal, and one of the 1993 WTC attackers(you\'d almost think CBS was waiting for a 1971 memo typed in MS Word). If this was the only time CBS or other MSM had done this, it wouldn\'t mean much if anything. After the 10,000th instance, they have a point.
