Mr. Montopoli - Once, Bill Paxton (R-NY) gave a speech in which he pointed out that he had lived exclusively as a government employee all his adult life, except for a spell when he worked in Thom McKann during college (and was fired). Your real-world, outside the bubble, resume seems similar. I strongly question whether you are able to compile a list of pundits more complex than one for Tiger Beat.

Your distinction, \'journo-blogger\', is a self-serving contrivance devoid of useful value, other than to illustrate your own gaudy arrogance.

Come on guys, how about Hugh Hewitt, Michelle Malkin, Powerline, Instapundit, the Belmont Club, James Lileks, Daily Kos, Huffington Post, Wonkette, RealClearPolitics, Andrew Sullivan, Mickey Kaus. Those blogs have big hit numbers (for bloggers) and cover the political spectrum. All are active and post on a regular basis. According to you guys you have to be connected with a newspaper, magazine, or television show to qualify as a \"blogger.\" Maybe you can get Mary Mapes and Dan Rather to do a blog together!

As Vaughn (and the post itself) said, this isn\'t meant to be a definitive list of approved blogs. It\'s just a collection of journalist-written blogs we posted so that interested people could check them out. I\'m not sure why people think we\'re trying to dictate what they should read. I\'m getting emails about our \"arrogance\" in posting this that are frankly mystifying.

How lovely of you to tell us who we can consider a valid journoblogger. Whatever would we do without such useful pontifications.

Such hostility. This was not intended to be any sort of exhaustive or authoritative list of blogs. Only to point out who in the MSM is trying to blog. Take it for what it is.

You\'re assuming that people want to read your blog. Oh and isn\'t it funny that a news organization that was brought low by bloggers now thinks it can dictate WHO is in when it comes to blogging?? Such arrogance! http://reaganitesunite.blogspot.com/

Thank goodness for this list. Without it I\'d be forced to make up my own mind on what is worthwhile to read and what is not. Thanks again.
