When will it dawn upon the nation of Israel that in fact after 4 years of failed foreign policy,Israel have not achieved this apparently much sought after sense of security it so eagerly allegedly craves.Perhaps its time to revise their unfortunate strategy.Perhaps its time they realised that actually,in order to acquire security,it must rid itself of the formidible reputation it has as amongst its arab counterparts and indeed most of the world, given the ubiquitous protests as a barbaric, murderous and oppressive regime. They are quick to point out when their peers fail to comply with un resolutions, when they themselves have failed to comply with more than any single nation worldwide.Anti-semitism is completely uncalled for,and unjust, but the actions of the zionists, does not reflect well upon the jews, because they haven't done enough to tackle the 'root cause' of the highest rates of worldwide anti-semitism for a very very long time

I'm afraid i still agree with honesty110,hizbollah is a terrorist organization, however, compare the death toll of civillians as compared to soldiers and it is evident many many more soldiers have died.Khatusha rockets are designed more to create fear and injure as opposed to kill. What the previous 2 posts fail to acknowledge is, the term disproportionate use of force used by Israel. There are lebanese prisoners held captive for over thirty years.Furthermore the fact that the news conceals is that israeli soldiers were captured and rockets fired under Israeli occupation of Lebanon, there was never a complete withdrawl, which is unfortunately the common consensus. What does it matter what the aims of the organisation are, given the Israeli brutality, there aims might as well be the same of Hizbollah

Claiming to draw a moral equivalence between the actions of Hezbollah and Israel is completely abhorrent. Terrorism can be defined as "acts of murder and destruction deliberately directed against civilians or military in non-military situations." Hezbollah commits terrorism in deliberately targeting and killing Israeli citizens. This is not contested. If Hezbollah respects the people of Lebanon so much, why don't they shoot their missiles at Israeli citizens from positions away from Lebanese civilians and villages? Maybe it's advantageous for them to fight an illegal, guerilla war which uses the Lebanese population as human shields. Yes, Israel targets Hezbollah which amounts to legal warfare. However, Hezbollah uses illegal, guerilla tactics that put the Lebanese population at risk. Believe me, Israelis don't want to see one innocent Lebanese civilian dead. If only Hezbollah felt the same way about the Lebanese. Care for some evidence of Hezbollah's tactics? See for yourself. http://youtube.com/watch?v=RUrsgFME28E&mode=related&search= Therefore, it is abhorrent to propose a moral equivalence between the acts of Israel and Hezbollah. Israelis just want to be left in peace. That's kind of a pipe-dream as long as Iran and Hezbollah call for the destruction of Israel.

The way Vaughn Ververs describes the controversy regarding this interview is overly simplistic. The question is not whether the interview should be aired or not. The media in our country is free to report as it wishes within the framework of the law. However, when CBS throws out journalistic principles in a "tea-party" interview, it loses credibility and deserves every bit of criticism. It's sad, yet not surprising, to see the number of anti-semitic posts in the comment section. But hey, if the most convincing argument you have is that the media and government is controlled by the Jews... That being the case, wonder why those silly Jews let this Irani propaganda piece through. The logic of Islamo-fascists never ceases to amaze me. Perhaps honesty110 should be honest with himself concerning his posts. Hezbollah's charter calls for the destruction of Israel. The same Hezbollah that killed 241 American serviceman in the 1983 bombing of the Marine Barracks. The same Hezbollah leading the chant, "Death to America! Death to Israel!" Who created, funded, and directs Hezbollah? Iran. Who is Iran's President? Ahmadinejad. Given these facts, it's a bit sickening to see Wallace cooing over the man behind the terror. Oh and yes, the conflict began with the terrorist-organization Hezbollah bombing Israel and kidnapping Israeli troops. If America were attacked in this fashion, you can bet it would protect itself as well.

Not many people believe in God these days, but stories from the torah and indeed the bible show, how God sent his prophets to rescue a few good and destroy the infidels who caused mischeif at a time where arrogance reigned supreme. Arrogance is reigning supreme,we allow our conscience to allow our country to take other countries resources,in exchange for 'liberating' them, even though in that part of the world they do not want us there. We rape their women, kill the fathers of their children, and run places like Abu Ghuraib. And its us, that are supposedly the good guys!WRONG,our media might have you believe that, its not true though. The terrorist label should be removed from those who attack our troops, they are vigilantes, and we dont have any business in their land

Ahmadinejad is not all that bad.His argument is, if indeed the holocaust occured to the tune of 6million,which is debabtable, surely it is the fault of the German nation, for not rising to the propaganda. It is them who ought to have compensated the jews. Why must the palestinians?why are the more palestinians in Brazil then Palestine? And so what if Iran provided Hizbollah with weapons, why did we have to provide Israel with weapons? We say they are terrorists, but when Israel bombs civillian infrastructure, they too should be percievd as terrorists.Israeli soldiers have killed raped and beaten entire families, how can politicians be percieved as morally correct people?

Its now the Iranians who are being demonised by our media. We may not like them, but they are fundamentally right about a number of issues.Ahmadinejad is attacked for statements such as Israel should be wiped off the map.Did he say it?YES,but in the context of its an illegaly established state, so it should be wiped off..not destroyed. But our medias translators made sure it had the desired effect!

Being from arguably the worlds best developed country, with the educational institutions we have, the level of ignorance the average american has about politics is shocking. The media is infiltrated by conscience hindering propaganda, spouts nonsense, but through it, they flourish, you dont make as much money it seems, by reporting honestly. Had the english did to Ireland, what the Israelis have done in Lebanon, when they faced a terrorist organisation, the world would have gone nuts. But because they are muslim, its ok.

WE WERE SHOCKED AND OUTRAGED TO LEARN OF MIKE WALLACE'S INTERVIEW WITH THE PRESIDENT OF IRAN. IT SEEMS CBS WILL GO TO ANY LENGTHS TO HAVE RATINGS AND APPEAL TO THE LOWEST DENOMINATOR OF INTEREST. I EXPECTED SOME STANDARDS FROM CBS AND PARTICULARLY MIKE WALLACE. CLEARLY I WAS WRONG
