Ever driven one lately? Ever owned one? Not the Fiat of the 60's 70's or eighties.

"Press, formerly Toyota Motor Corp.'s top U.S. executive, joined Chrysler shortly after it was taken over in 2007 by private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management LP. "
---------------------------------

Is Cerberus still involved in the new Chrysler? Did they "strip and flip" Chrysler like they did other companies in the last 10 years?

Fiat:

Worldwide operations, operating in 61 countries
1,063 companies that employ over 223,000 people,
111,000 of whom are outside Italy

The European Car of the Year award, Europe's premier automotive trophy for the past 40 years, has been awarded twelve times to the Fiat Group, more than any other manufacturer

Fiat Group owns CNH Global (which includes Case Construction, Case IH, Flexi-Coil, Kobelco, New Holland, New Holland Construction, and Steyr); and Fiat-Hitachi Construction. CNH is the second largest agricultural equipment manufacturer in the world after Deere & Company. It is also the third largest producer of construction equipment after Caterpillar Inc. and Komatsu. CNH accounts for around 20% of revenue

Commercial vehicles (Iveco and Seddon Atkinson), buses (Iveco and Irisbus) and firefighting vehicles (Camiva, Iveco and Magirus).

In the 1970s and 1980s, the company became a pioneer in the use of industrial robotics for the assembly of motor vehicles. Fiat assembly plants are among the most automated and advanced in the world.

And------They are loaded with a commodity in short supply in the US at the moment. A mountain of cash.

American big corporations are an utter failure. They couldn't mange their way out of a paper bag. All they do is lie, cheat, steal and buy the government so they can steal all the money of the people. We are utterly broke and everything is for sale, the Republicon's wet dream.

Sheesh yourself, the mountain of cash has been there to fuel their global market, Chrysler is positioned with changes to be part of that operation. Billions in technology transfer is not nothing. So stop lifing skirts and go back to business school.

"The Italian automaker won't put any money into the deal but will give Chrysler billions worth of small car and engine technology. "

Europe's crappiest car maker just took over Chrysler without any money. That is amazing. If this works, it will be a miracle.

This country has become a joke.
