You must not have read many of my posts over the years fellow citizen. I am well known for standing for justice, and owing my allegiance to America, not party. I have always been just as direct and outspoken about any parties crimes, which has often caused both the left and right to dislike what I say.

But I don't care. Because I know the founding fathers would like it.

Dear CBS:

I take exception to Anthony Edwards report about the Government being responsible for the failure of GM and Chrysler.

My feeling as a taxpayer, who is paying for the bailouts, is that if the US government had not bailed out these companies that they would have no other option but to file for bankruptcy and be forced to reorganize under chapter 11. Having owned a Chrysler vehicle in the past and had to pay for their shortcomings as a quality product, I feel that they need to pay for their past mistakes. Yes, I understand that it is in the country's best interest to have an American industry survive, but I feel that the culture these companies developed was to put profits ahead of longevity and quality doomed them to be in these dire straits. I feel it was the executives who guided these companies only for the short term, and perhaps to enhance their own golden parachutes, forced them to seek the US public as their saviors.

I recognized 10 years ago that Chrysler and Dodge had not been delivering a quality vehicle, based on the amount of repair and the lack of service from dealers for making sure I was satisfied with their products. I wanted to purchase a vehicle that was "made in America," but my efforts were disappointing. I purchased Japanese vehicles that I have been very happy with.

it is not the US Government's fault of forcing GM and Chrysler into this situation, it is the fault of several successions of management of these companies that have the habit of not having the capacity to recognize both history and future projections to not be prepared for potential future market conditions and global energy considerations. If these companies learned the lessons from the 70's of the future global oil volatility, they would have recognized that retooling away from oil dependency could have changed world dynamics. The US put men on the moon with superior technology. If we applied the same science of looking forward, maybe the US could have economic pressures against those who control oil as opposed to going to war.

I hope more American citizens share my view.

What a crock.

Obama, Republicans, and Democrats have simply been bribed to give away our last few trillions to global billionaire scum, and that's all there is to it.

Does America want to get out of the mess that our corrupt politicians and global billionaire scum have left us?

Well then, all we have to do is implement the SearingTruth American Recovery Plan:

1. Get as much of the trillions of dollars we gave away to billionaires back, as soon as possible.

2. Let all the failed corporations in America go bankrupt, so that viable companies can move in and clean up the mess.

3. Immediately implement universal health care for the people, and an emergency plan to shelter and feed us so we can weather the depression.

4. Implement fair trade, because "free trade" doesn't exist, and has helped to bring us to the brink of destruction. This means making trade agreements that benefit America, not China.

5. Forbid the outsourcing of American jobs, which is another key reason America is failing. And from now on any company that wants to move to another country may do so, and then never do business in America again without extremely high tariffs on their products or services.

6. Heavily regulate and monitor our financial system so criminal billionaire thugs can never do this again.

You see the difference? I'm for the average working American. Not the global elite billionaires, who are nothing less than sociopathic criminals.

Yep, Americans first, and global billionaires last. After all, they need us, while we can do fine without them.

The auto industry is in dire straits because of health care costs, globalization and free, but unfair trade. Obviousily there is waste, mis-management, and union issues, but globalization has killed the US auto industry and it will kill the middle class in this country. Why not buy are military hardware from China, or Russia? We could save a ton of money. Yes, it would be suicidal. Well guess what we have collectively done over the past 30 years. It's sad that we are the "United" States when in reality we are so divided.

Foreign automakers with plants in the US stand to be demolished if GM or Chrysler go down, so why not require them to raise the pay of their autoworkers a few dollars an hour to help achieve manufacturing cost parity with Detroit by INCREASING wages of Americans rather than only by cutting the pay of UAW workers?
This should be required before the government bails out Detroit, which will save suppliers from going down with Detroit. Those supplier also support the US factories of foreign automakers.
Republican politicians claim during their campaigns to be for workers but after the elections they always keep working to destroy the standard of living of the average American worker. The only people they think are entitled to make a living are those who don't MAKE anything other than enormous piles of debt that wreck the economy.

Chapter 11 Bankruptcy is the answer and it should have been the answer all along.
But Obama would have none of it because he wants to protect his big union buddies who donated millions to his campaign.

Instead of your joke headline CBS, how about something more accurate such as:
"Obama defends big unions whose contracts have made GM noncompetitive; exercises authoritarian power to force GM CEO to resign"
