Our whole system of unbridled runaway capitalism is a failure and needs to be changed. I don't believe that Obama is prepared to take on the corporate fascists yet. But putting bandaids on a broken back will only make it worse. I guess we will have to find out the hard way about our sick, failed ideology as we have done so far.
I would expect any company to show a profit after the tax payers put in massive amounts of money so we now own over 1/3 of the company. I can't believe the stupidity. The rally day is temporary. When Nobama opens his mouth the market tanks. I expect the market to bottom out less than 5000.
CBS should be a little more optimistic than that. We still have almost 300 days left in '09. It could get better. I wouldnt go so far as to picking the best day in '09 just yet. Its a little premature.

Good that Citi posted a profit the last two months, but it is suspicious, no? Didn't they just apply for more bailout money? What kind of accounting is that?
So, Citi straightened out it's accounting mess and knows exactly what it owns and holds now, eh? Hey, why not Chase or AIG next.
