Oh I see. You think I''''m "wacko" for pointing out that b4ucmyI was instigating assassinations of federal employees.

In this country, ''tis the State the performs executions.

Anybody else kills, it is either justifiable homicide or murder.

I love it when people turn to ad hominem attacks, rather than dispute the basic facts:

enviro_wacko.............it funnnels to our politicians, and the rest of the population. so as long as our society is in decay, no matter who we elect they would do the same. 95% of the people complaining about the greed would do the same thing.....extreme self interest.

Games of circular logic are tiresome, particularly when the argument becomes couched in terms that hinting at illegality and barely conceal implied threats.

No, I have made no reference to the virtue of what elected officials do once elected. I only pointed out that just because you don''''t like it doesn''''t make it illegitimate or illegal in any way. You are being represented. Not being represented is a sound basis for civil disobedience and armed uprising etc and shouldn''''t be thrown around haphazardly.

The core of your argument appears to be that, once elected, a public official has the right to do anything that he or she wants, moral or immoral, legal or illegal, ethical or unethical, and anyone who participated in the democratic process must accept responsibility for enabling their behavior.

Interesting, but I beg to differ.

No, elections don''''t make things right. But you can''''t say that you aren''''t being represented. You have your vote and you are free to hire all the lobbyist that you can afford.

Does the fact that Bush was elected make lying about WMDs right?

Does the fact that Bush was elected and subsequently appointed Gonzales AG make Gonzo''''s breaking the law right?

Does the fact that Bush was elected and subsequently refused to regulate the hedge funds, enabling them to speculate at will in the oil markets make that artificial run-up in energy prices right?

Does the fact that Bush was elected entitle him to warp Interior Department policy to enable the plunder of Federal lands across our nation?

If you said "No" to any of those questions, then you have no right to criticize me for saying that the DTV is a tax without representation.

By the way - I begin to suspect you either work for cable, satellite, a retailer, or are employed offshore yourself.
