You gotta admit, Judas was a disciple of Issa Bin Yusuf, and therefore was a Christian even before the Greeks coined the term a century later. - Reply to this comment

- "Today I heard that Wall Street gave millions to both of these parties!!!!!" Posted by reader53
It is not new, and it is not news, all large corporations, and other entities that control large amounts of money hedge their bets by contributing to both sides, this has been happening since Washington''s time.
In light of the huge money it takes to run even for state offices, there would be no politicians except for super-rich ones at all without the ability to raise campaign funds.
That would be even worse than what we have now. - Reply to this comment
- Wake up America!!!
The criminal bankers are laughing at you and spitting in your face...
Edgar Allan Poe wrote a story called "The Puloined Letter", it''s premise was that things are best hidden in plain sight. Guess what, the bankers, politicians, and their connected brethren here and overseas, are committing fraud and theft in plain sight. Americans, according to this ex-soldier I used to live with, are the stupidest people on Earth....he is right. - Reply to this comment
But trickle down economics was supposed to make everyone prosper.
How could this be?- Reply to this comment
- During the election last year, Obama and the Democrats seemed to have a lot of money to support the candidates!
Today I heard that Wall Street gave millions to both of these parties!!!!!
Doesn''t this an investigation? Isn''t that when we had the meltdown? And is that why no one knew what was to happen? There are so many questions about this recession, and it seems that those who could investigate haven''t even thought about an investigation. How much did the media get paid? - Reply to this comment
- Put Bernanke in front of a firing squad and charge fifty bucks to watch the show on federal pay-per-view TV. Pay off the national debt in ten minutes.

- If anything, the high rollers should do the patriotic thing and give up their bonus to keep people employed in America.
After all, is that not the Christian thing to do?

lollll...I haven''''t got to say this in a while, so thanks for the opportunity!
The people behind and among the leading Republicans let nothing - not religion, not ethics, not morality, not even patriotism, come between themselves and wealth accumulation.
They never got the chance, but they had intended to whack estate taxes too - thus enabling them to stop even death from coming between themselves and their wealth.

Well stated! I love how the GOP throws out the red meat issues to keep people from discussing the meaningful issues like our economy.
Of course things got so bad this time around that the GOP could not sweep it under the red meat issues, so they lost.
Hopefully, they never fool us again! - Reply to this comment
- We see today that Obama is going to sign to approve health care for the illegals. Now, we know that many of them already get free health care. This will open the flood gates and more illegals will come into our country. Just like when we lived down south, we had Hurricane Ivan come calling, thousands of illegals came in from Mexico, took jobs from Americans because they work cheap ($2.50-$3.00 per hour). Then they stayed, brought over their families, had children here and now they are here to stay. Many of these illegals worked for FEMA in Florida, Alabama,Louiseanna,Mississippi, they came, they took and they keep taking. Obama is going to grant the 25 million illegals in our country amnesty. What a country. Now we know why Obama said it''s going to get worse before it gets better. Remember the Alamo!

- Now we know why on the Lou Dobbs TV show tonight they said that less than 150 people have received help with there mortgage foreclosures. Thats right. 150 people out of the OVER 4 HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE, who are in foreclosure. Where is the outrage!. Has this great country gone crazy? Why haven''t Bush and the gas house gang and the 111th Congress done anything about this Terrible Situation...because many of them are receipents of the lobbyist of these Banks and Mortgage Companies. Anyone, and everyone across this great country of ours should withhold your mortgage payment for the month of Feburary. If everyone stands together on this, then perhaps something would get done. Perhaps we could also not pay our taxes, only buy $20.00 worth of gas at a time..If this sounds familier, people could only buy so many gallons of gas during World War II. Practically everything was rationed, tires, butter, steel, cotton, etc. I think we are coming into another World War II situation. Save your money, but don''t save it in the bank. Put it someplace safer. Hang on to your seats, we are all in for a bumpy ride.

- Well so much for a service and I.T. based economy. Which is what we have been. Now it is time to get back to a production based economy. Oh but wait, we can''t do that can we? They sent all of our production jobs overseas. Freaking Jerks!

- Its the Governments fault they told us everything was going to hell in a hand basket. Now everybody is cutting back and saving. Perhaps they shouldn''''t have told us it was so bad. But then we wouldn''''t have let them give their buddies a trillion dollars.

It''s about more than consumer perception I''m afraid. We can''t just all do each other''s laundry and have that be a sound economy. Someone somewhere has to actually produce something and manufacturing is going were the really cheap labor is.
Not to worry though... labor is about to get really cheap here again too, thanks to Chimpy and the republitards. - Reply to this comment
- First I lost my house because my husband & I divorced & I could not afford the outrageous payments any longer. Then to add insult to injury I received a tax statement the other day for the total to be paid back on my mortgage. So now I''m SURE I''m not going to get any tax refund back, it will go right to the bank, who certainly doesn''t need it as much as I do! DIDN''T THEY ALL JUST GET BAILED OUT??!!!!! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET AHEAD IN THIS COUNTRY & PUT $ BACK INTO THE ECONOMY WHEN WE HAVE NO $ TO PUT BACK IN?! Yeah, we have big problems in our economy folks & it''s actually quite simple to figure out why. Our government does not give a ***** about us middle class citizens, the lifeblood of America.

Wonder how much of CitiCorp''s claim is true, and how much of it is an awareness that an unemployed manager is far likelier to turn State''s evidence? - Reply to this comment
