It''s admirable how well you''ve done and we''re all proud of you. You don''t have to apologize, we know it''s not your fault. It''s spelled "chronic", by the way.

Well...anything have to be better than the last 8 years of Bush The Worst President Ever!~ He became President in January 20, 2001 and in September 11, 2001 we suffered the worst terrorist attack ever. Then he invaded Iraq who had nothing to do with 9/11 nor have WMD. The economy went sour and he was telling everyone, including John McCain, that the economy was strong. He destroyed all the goodwill the world had for the US after 9/11 and it is going to take a lot to restore that respect. That is why American voters gave Democracts the WH, the Senate, and the House. It is a rescue mission!~

Because our leaders embrace free trade and resist protectionism, our unemployment rate may be 50% by the end of 2009. Half of the nation will live off of unemployment benefits for a year or so. Soon the great starvation will begin. We''ll kill each other off fighting over potatoes and boxes of macaroni. Then the Chinese will invade and take over what is left.

Please help others in need if you''re fortunate to have a job. There are so many people that need help right now and it''s only going to get worse. Small things can help out a lot. Donate small cheap items to the local food pantry or cook a meal for a friend/relative/neighbor.

Mission accomplished for the Republicans! Spend like drunken sailors and ruin the economy and then blame the Democrats for trying to fix their disaster.

And you wonder how the right winger Hitler came to power?

So whose money and work is going to support all these unemployed people? Sounds like the government will be taxing me to death. I don''t expect any improvement under Obama, in fact, the tax rates will undoubtedly increase to support Obama''s looney ideas of "change" and various types of social and economic experimentation, i.e. throwing the tax money into a bottomless pit.

LOL! It appears Rowdy and her posts have disappeared from this thread. Does anyone want to venture a guess on how long it takes her to reinvent herself?

The rise in unemployment is a tragic problem. It was a shock to me to discover that while some 533,000 jobless claims were filed in November 2008 alone in the United States, the same month over 140,000 new temporary workers entered the country by legal means as new hires. It seems to me that these is a serious problem with a nation''s immigration policy when citizens are unemployed in significant numbers while foreign workers are granted temporary visas to enter to work here.

American Business: Make an inferior product and provide terrible or no service. Issue credit for that product then change the terms and conditions for the contract beyond what a Mafia loan shark would try. When it all falls apart blame the customer and get paid back from the government. Great job Brownie!

I work for a Bank that didn''t need money from the TARP since they stopped retail banking years ago. For all intents and purposes we''re a financial services agency. Well they stated to us that they were forced to take $9 billion in TARP funds. They also are laying people off for two reasons, 1. They''re off shoring jobs to India, which saves the company money. Getting rid of American workers, they pay the Indians 15k to do the job of people making 45 - 50k, no SS, or benefits to pay into. I would have thought that in this time of economic woe''s that they''d help the country by keeping jobs here. But NO. As far as I''m concerned, if this is not tantamount to treason, then I don''t know what is. This is one of the problems. 2. Now they sent out a memo welcoming the New Year and stating how we must work as a team, oh and by the way, there will be more lay-offs due to the economic down turn, and no merit raise''s. But the CEO still fly''s in a Lear Jet. I haven''t heard one word about how all of senior management will take a pay cut or not accept bonus''s. But they did mention that they''ve cut back on travel and entertainment. Like that means anything to the rank and file. GREED and plenty of it lives.
