Hard-Luck Investor Tells The Early Show That He Expects More Madoff-Related Tragedy
- OK you know all you people who believe that dolling out razor blades to people so they can off themselves need help. Open your phone book there are many therapists willing to take your money to hear about how this would be a better place if anyone who wants to make a profit kills themself.
Why are so many envious of the rich? I like the rich, and some day I truly hope to be able to be classified as such. As for now I work every day, and make smart investment choices.
When you take the will to innovate the market place will stagnate.
As for someone saying that this Ponzi Scheme has nothing to do with the Bush economy, well you are both right and you are both wrong at the same time. Unfortunatly the President gets blamed for the mistakes of the House and the Senate. - Reply to this comment
- Greed is a powerful enemy. The banking industry is steeped in it. Money to many is God.

- ZykraCosmos wrote: Would this have happened in a socialist democracy...----------I hope those of you who favor socialism realize that once America becomes a totally social government that the world will then become communist. They never gave up on ruling the world they just changed their tactics. America is all that stands in their way. Karl Marx himself stated that socialism is just a stepping stone to communism. But I am not of the new generation so if that is what you want, that is what you shall have. In anticipation of your immense misery, I offer my pity.

- Yep, its only news when rich idiots off themselves. Dozens of ''little people'' have been doing this for months after losing their homes. But who cares about them, right?

Yeah but $1.4 billion and it would
have been a different story.
The extra .2 billion is the real kicker.
You were lucky.- Reply to this comment

Maybe it was a coded message regarding 9/11. Box cutters = box cutters. - Reply to this comment

There is also a sense of personal judgement that SHOULD go along with a president who everyone knew was a dimwit.
You can''t blame everything on Bush, thats true, though Cheney and his billionaire cronies are more responsible for the mess this country is in. Stupidity goes both ways. - Reply to this comment

How men supposedly as sophisticated as Mort Zuckerman fell for a Ponzi Scheme, remains unexplained.
Maybe Gloria Steinem was right to dump him.

- I''ll admit. Some of you on here with your rather cocky statements blaming everything on Bush are pretty funny. Too bad you have nothing tangible to say about it. Maybe it''s time you began attempting to figure out how to get out of it instead of putting down everyone around you.

Of course the guy was distraught, capable of any crazy act. Maybe he was trying to punish himself.
It''s strange. The last time I p***ed away $1.2 billion, I was a lot more philosophical about it. - Reply to this comment
- Bush can''t be blamed for Madoff''s scheming. He''s been at this for decades, long before Bush became president. And many of the Dem programs, since the 1960s have led up to the problems we''re happening. Also, I''ll bet critics of Bush, Repubs and Wall Street-types aren''t the least bit miffed or even offended by the hideously huge pay packages sports and entertainment figures continue to get, even if their efforts are failures or flops. These pay packages are just as egregious, out of line and undeserved as those on Wall Street.

True, but men seeking that way out, would use a gun.
I just thought the combination of sleeping pills and a box cutter was odd. A razor blade would have been more efficient.
A person can be coerced by various means into swallowing pills.
I''m not advancing a conspiracy theory here. It probably was a suicide.
