Comments on: Feds Take Swipe At Credit Card Rules
Regulators OK Sweeping Changes That Will Limit Interest Rate Hikes By Card Companies
- There is a simple solution to credit card rip-offs: STOP USING THEIR %u201CSERVICES.%u201D Limit yourself to ONE credit card, or better yet, none. Pay them off and then be done with them forever. I%u2019ve done it. It was painful at first but I am now debt and credit card free. Loss of customers will get their attention better than government intervention. I sleep a lot easier at night.

- How do you think all of these government officials end up with beach houses, expensive vacations, out of country bank accounts etc. Credit Card Companies RAPE the American people daily and the bought off government officials turn the other way.

- When corporations need assistance, we get instantaneous bailouts in the hundreds of billions of dollars range, without oversight, and without any assurance that the policy goals for those public funds will be attained.
This small step to aid consumers, takes effect at the earliest 18 MONTHS from now, may cost the industry $10 billion, and will certainly be legally contested. The rules will not likely be retroactive, indicating that consumers will bleed another $15 billion before these rules even take effect.
Does anyone see a problem with the math here??? - Reply to this comment

- The credit card companies have about twenty months to rape everyone before the new rules kick in. Funny it takes the government that long to make changes and the credit card people do it overnight!!!
