After all the house of cards economy that the ''''Pukes built was all on cheap and available credit fuelled by house prices and credit cards
When that mess fell tith the collapse of house prices, the US economy tanked

LOL I guess you dems will lead the way like FDR who watched as he created serfdom jobs and still the unemployment rate went up until WW2 kicked in. The economy is like rush hour traffic all it takes is for one idiot to tap their breaks and we end up in gridlock. That''s what happened when they realized Obama was going to be president, like they saw the accident coming and are now rubber necking.

william119 and daveqwerty did you guys go to school in this country? I had a union job and I got tired of brother this and brother that and don''t work that hard it makes us look bad. It was in a Dodge Plant too! I promise you, the unions are the problem, plain and simple along with the media. Did the media say anything about the UAW''s private planes.? I rest my case. Let the "Big 3" go down the congressional idiots want to do. If they do, you will see the biggest depression that this country has ever seen. Now that is really getting even with the "fat cats" Plus if there is ever a major war, exactly who will build our weapons? Anybody that doesn''t want to help and I mean help, the auto companies is an idiot.

Economists, who had been expecting a loss of some 350,000 jobs last month, were stunned by the news, describing the report as %u201Chorrendous,%u201D "horrific" and %u201Ceye-poppingly bad.%u201D

%u201CWe%u2019re scrambling around here for historical parallels,%u201D said Robert Barbera, chief economist at ITG, an investment advisory firm.

How about the Great Depression? 1929-1940. Remember what "got us out" of that depression? World wide war. Think it can''t happen again?

Please do not forget the media when you consider this so call recession. NPR was stating this morning that the national unemployment rate to be anounced today was surely going to be 8.5, or more, which would be the highest in 40 years. If this is not irresponsibility, then I don''''t know what the term means. The rate was 6.7% which is .2% more than last month. The media always lies and gets a free ride. We have got to rethink this fredom of the press thing as they pass off their opinions as news and most of all truth. The Democrats were responsible for the sub-prime meltdown...period. Their fingerprints are all over it. The media still covers it up... Why???? I want to see someone prosecuted for these lies and I intend to write a letter to the Pulitzer Prize Commission, because there is not a single journalist that has told the truth about this.

Well what do you expect when they just declared a recession days ago, when we have been in one for over a year. Also, I predict we will be hitting at least 12%...

to noloyal whatever. If you want the government off of your back, why in the hell did you vote a democrat into office? Let''s all push for the unions. This is legalized extortion. If you don''t pay us three times the going labor rate and let us run your company so we only have to work as hard as we feel like, we will shut you down. Is this really the American way? Also, please name one job that Bush caused to move overseas. The Liberals did it stupid!

Ahhhh...another half-a-million people, each one eager to give thanks for such grand Republican ideas as free trade and trickle-down economics in church come Sunday....

America doesn''t need enemies - we have Republicans.

And yet, the self-exaltation and lack of compassion is the same.

WORST
PRESIDENT
EVER.

Check your math - this is the worst unemployment in 15 years. 2008 minus 15 is 1993. ON CLINTON''S WATCH.

Bush didn''t get any slack for 9/11. They say it was on his watch.

So 1993 was on CLINTON''S WATCH. Whatever the unemployment was on 9/11/2003, CLINTON IS TO BLAME for it.

I am so happy that this deep Recession happened on the clock of Republican President Bush because I never believed in their Ideologies. This actual recession means their Ideology will be in Coma for at least another 40 years.
