The one area where I think we will see long term success will be due to increased R&D spending, something which suffered tremendously under the Shrub administration.

Cut Government Spending

Flat Tax Rate of 18% for everybody would boost the economy as well

I wonder how much of the troubles we have can be contributed to the media. It seems that if the media would stop being a harbinger of doom, so many people would not just pull their funds from the markets. people think short term and do not realize not everyday can be an up on the DOW. I don''t look forward to the downfall of the DOW, but hey there are bargains to buy!

Didn''t you believe the President? He said it was a bad recession, so quit spreading rumors to the contrary. He is never wrong

Agreed. But do you really believe that the former Clinton administration is going to perform any better?

Good question. I think they will out of sheer luck. The market is already so bad, that in 4 years things will almost certainly be better regardless of the actions of the executive branch.

Sadly, I think this country does well in spite of the government''s actions.

I voted for Obama and was optomistic.
SOUNDS LIKE REGRET ALREADY
The stock market also responded positively but plunges as Hillery is announced as Sec State.
YOU HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT. IT''S OHBEEMIE THAT ELSECTED HER. GIVE HIM THE CREDIT FOR IT.
The 12/01/08 market day may be refered to as the Hillery market crash.
I SAY MORE "MANY OF OHBEEMIE''S BAD CHOICES". AND THERE WILL BE MANY MORE COMNING.

Wall street creates Recession by reacting to ''Gnat whispers''. People react to Wall Streets reaction to their caution in spending. Which is the tail and which is the dog and which end is wagging the other???

I thought that fabricating a war would be more offensive than getting a BJ in the oval office.

Dow Plunges 680 Points On Tepid Holiday Shopping Data

Here''''''''s how dumb all this is.

Two conflicting media reports.

One story saying holiday shopping was bad and another saying it was 18% better than last year.

What are you going to do January 21st?
--------------------------

Posted by HK4U2

On Jan 20th (not the 21st), I will be breathing a sigh of relief as the most corrupt and incompetent administration of all time is finally tossed out on their @sses.

Barack Obama could be a Tickle Me Elmo and make better choices than Fatman and Boy Wonder.

He was a lame duck when he took office in 2000.

He shouldn''t have been in office in 2000 or 2004

Scary to see how many of you democrats spin things around to make them fit your shoe. It is obvious that all you are looking for is to blame a lame duck president. What are you going to do January 21st? There will be no one else to blame but Ohbeemie and his entourage.
