Is Paulson DELIBERATELY trying to bankrupt the United States of America?

First he said the $700 bn was going towards purchasing toxic assets from banks and institutions, then he said no, let''s not do that.

Now he wants $600 bn to do what he wanted to do in the first place (to buy toxic assets?)

And ANOTHER $200 bn for consumer debt?

And where is that $300 bn guarantee for Citibank debt coming from?

I feel like I''m in the twilight zone here.

BTW, at this point, Hagel has given up on trying to accomplish anything. He is retiring from Congress and he will not seek another term.

Just look at his Wikipedia entry. His photo says it all. And note how the entry doesn''t even MENTION his attempt to save our nation from ruin.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the Great Emperor Bush II and his neocon Fascist Socialist Nazi Republican court are continuing their efforts to totally BANKRUPT the USSA, concentrate ALL the wealth (what there is of it!) at the TOP

Let''s not forget that this "credit clog" was caused by Barney "Meltdown" Frank and his Democrat cohorts in pursuit of their "affordable housing" agenda to pander to their poor voters.

When the GOP sponsored Chuck Hagel''s bill to crack down on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Frank led ALL the Dems on the Finance Committee to vote against it. Committe chair Democrat Chris Dodd refused to bring the measure to a vote.

BOTH PARTIES ARE TO BLAME IN THIS. As usual, the Democrats got us into it, and the Republicans are failing to get us out. Of course, the Dems had plenty of bipartisan support getting us in, and the Reps are getting plenty of bipartsian support in "failing" to get us out.

BOTH SIDES ARE TO BLAME.

The FED is not the government. They created this mess, we should shut them down and let the government issue it''s own currency and stop paying interest to Chinese and European uber rich.
