Just as it was oh so "obvious" to you that Iraq had thousands of tonnes of WMD in 2003 and just as it was so obvious to you that Iraq was behind the 9/11 attacks, and just as it was so obvious to you that the war in Iraq you so desperately wanted would last 6 weeks tops and cost less than $50 bn

Just on those 4 points you claimed were obvious, you''''re batting 0.00 Cletus !!!!

"People can quarrel with whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."

I mean really, what have these companies done for us besides build terrible cars? Either it is the fault of the incompetent union workers, or the idiotic CEOs. I say both.

Hell, it didn''''t take me very long to figure out that you were american - though I will admit that your sheer unadulterated stupidity and ignorance made clear that you could only be an american

No bailout for the automakers! The UAW and the auto industry management are out of control. This is an excellent opportunity to find out if they can sink or swim. The UAW needs to help bail their own industry out before my taxpayer money puts in one cent. The UAW has refused to give an inch. The average U.S. auto worker (GM, Ford, Chrysler) is making in excess of $70/hr (including benefits) whereas a Toyota auto worker is making slightly above $40, including benefits. Something is wrong with this picture.

Chrysler was bailed out by the federal government once before, in 1979, with $1.2 billion in loan guarantees. The company repaid the loan"

WHo cares? that was almost THIRTY YEARS ago, this is 2008 and now there''s HONDA, TOYOTA, an energy and credit crisis andno one is buying.
Let em fall, they WILL eventually anyway - they are too dam big, too top heavy and too expensive. Henry Ford made money because he ran the assembly line lean and mean and didnt change the body style every freaking YEAR! it costs a fortune to retool and redo all that body design krap every year! not to mention the annual recalls of millions of cars due to these changes- pick a dam design that works and BUILD IT.

Mullaly, the top executive at Ford, was hired away from Boeing because he did such a good job turning that company in the right direction. Boeing!! Mullaly has only been at Ford a few years, inherited a pile of s*** at Found On Road Dead, and yet, if you read any press on him at all, he has done a good job there: Ford Edge, Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKX, etc.

I am self employed in the construction industry and married into a UAW family (many of them drive imports! I buy American.) I am disgusted at every get together when I hear the UAW employees ha ha-ing about 1.Workers clocking in and leaving while on the clock, 2. Workers tearing up machines so they can go home early, 3. "Skilled trades" playing computer games all day and then demanding overtime, 4. Workers creating "sleeping areas" in the plants where they can go rest while on the clock among other costly and careless things. Still they feel entitled to make over $100,000 per year + full coverage insurance and retirement. They also expect $75,000 buyouts when they are no longer needed! I don''''t get it!!
No wonder our auto industry can''''t compete in a world economy. If the Big three want to survive, they need to create an inexpensive, fuel efficient vehicle that people will want to purchase. Throwing more money at the situation will only temporarily benefit the Big 3.

And these really smart Democrats want their tax money that is if they actually pay any to support this.

They obviously are somewhat challenged in their understanding of what is going on here. It is called welfare at the rate of 100K per employee.
