No bailout for the automakers! The UAW and the auto industry management are out of control. This is an excellent opportunity to find out if they can sink or swim. The UAW needs to help bail their own industry out before my taxpayer money puts in one cent. The UAW has refused to give an inch. The average U.S. auto worker (GM, Ford, Chrysler) is making in excess of $70/hr (including benefits) whereas a Toyota auto worker is making slightly above $40, including benefits. Something is wrong with this picture.

Mullaly, the top executive at Ford, was hired away from Boeing because he did such a good job turning that company in the right direction. Boeing!! I am disgusted at every get together when I hear the UAW employees ha ha-ing about 1.Workers clocking in and leaving while on the clock, 2. Workers tearing up machines so they can go home early, 3. "Skilled trades" playing computer games all day and then demanding overtime, 4. Workers creating "sleeping areas" in the plants where they can go rest while on the clock among other costly and careless things. Still they feel entitled to make over $100,000 per year + full coverage insurance and retirement. They also expect $75,000 buyouts when they are no longer needed! I don''''t get it!!
