Dow Falls Nearly 500 Points, More Than Erasing Tuesday's Gains
- Blaming the economy on Obama for the last eight years has gotten even older.

Excuse me, but I seem to remember that the Democrats, to include Obama and the rest of the Democrat crew just passed an $850,000,000,000 bailout package that has not helped anyone but the bankers and wall street crooks. Is this what we have to look forward to, is more of the same for the next four years? Yes, I can blame Obama for that because he was the grease that made the skids move so that that bailout could be passed. You better look at your arguments before you present them. Trying to blame the Republicans for what the Democrats have and have not done over the past two years, will not change the fact that they passed the bills that cost the money. - Reply to this comment
- You can thank Dembots like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd for the mortgage and financial mess. They''''re the ones who forced mortgage companies (via Fannie and Freddie) to loosen credit standards and give mortgages to people who didn''''t qualify for them.
And now we''''re paying the consequences.

And were they the ones who encouraged banks to practice predatory lending practices??? Did they force banks to lend money with sub-prime interest rates?
Who forced Enron to extort money from California? Was that also the democrats'' fault? - Reply to this comment
- You can call me names all day but the problem still exist, and blaming it on the "neo-cons" for next four years is really going to get old. Especially when the Democrats will be holding all of the cards for at least two of them.

- What the hell? Who produced that ENORMOUS BUDGET you creepy warmonger NEOCONS???????
It sure as hell wasn''''t Obama. You people need somebody to smack you in the face.

As I said early Obama supporters who want to talk down to anyone who doesn''t agree with them. I am not a neo-con, I am an independent voter who never voted for Bush, nor McCain. If I need someone smacking me in the face I suggest you come try, you might get more than you bargained for.
Oh by the way, I am still asking a plain and simple question, where is the money going to come from. Bush and the neo-cons will be gone, and it will be up to the Democrats to float a badly listing, if not sinking ship, what creative ways will they come up with to make the money needed to pay for all of the new programs? I can''t believe how many people deny the facts about the current financial crisis. All you have to do is a little research and you can see just what part democrats played in it, also try researching Obama''s financial advisor Robert Rubin opposition to the regulations of derivitaves in the late 90''s and the major impact this had. - Reply to this comment

Things were doing ok until about 18 months ago. Which is 6 months after the Dembots took control of congress.

- The last time there was a Democrat president with this kind of majority in the House and Senate was with Jimmy Carter.
And we all know how THAT turned out.
We''re headed for Jimmy Carter Part II.
Hope you like your "change." Cuz that''s all you''ll have left in your pocket when Obama is done spreading the wealth around. - Reply to this comment
- Republicans readers and writers: You''ve had your 8 years to create this huge mess. Now go home and lick your wounds. The mess came from you guys. Let the Dems clean up your dirty little mess and just shut up already. Your right wing wackjob days are over. For now. Give Palin another try in 4 years, we always need more to laugh at.

We''ll see how everyone feels in a couple of years, if Obama turns things around I''ll eat crow. I''m not worried about my job, I work in an industry that''s main product isn''t going away any time soon, good old gasoline. I do worry about other people losing their jobs though and think higher taxes on businesses will lead to more unemployment, maybe I''m wrong, time will tell. - Reply to this comment
- Funny cBSnews can''t bring themselves to mention that this is the WORST DOW Jones loss in history for the day after a presidential election.
It''s just a little harbinger of what Obama will do to this nation.
