McCain/Palin however, want to fix the steam engine before the whole train derails, give it a tuneup, and get it back out there ASAP, working more efficiently.

That was the problem with those OLD Steam Engines. Always breaking down. So I guess your saying get the old tired machine that''s way out dated and "give her a tune-up" Yeah that''ll fix everything!!!

vote pelosi/reid/obama for complete USA insolvency. They want to completely derail the train, take it off the tracks, turn it all around, sort car by car in specific order by weight, color, serial number, then point in the opposite direction and send it on it''s little diminished way.

McCain/Palin however, want to fix the steam engine before the whole train derails, give it a tuneup, and get it back out there ASAP, working more efficiently.

I don''t think anyone, including the Congress, needs any more proof about the cause of the horrific increases in oil prices over the last 6 months. Just look at the parrellel relationship of the market and oil prices. OPEC decreased production--reducing supply--and yet the price of oil still dropprd. The increases have nothing to do with supply and demand. By logical deduction, you can only conclude it was due to speculation on futures prices. I for one believe that we as a nation cannot be held captive to the whims of investors. This is definitely one area that a new Administration should look at for potential re-regulation.
