- How much do you have to hate America, to vote republican?

About as much as YOU DO. - Reply to this comment
- The rosewood stake has finally been driven through the heart of the evil undead Ronnie Raygun.
Reagan-omics is shown to be what it is--a delusional farce that has bankrupted America while enriching the small elite clique of Bushit Billionaires.
And McClone, and his sidekick Miss Piggie, just want to feed the Beast more of our money.
No way, Undead! Return to your coffin! Trouble the living no more! - Reply to this comment
- Let us watch Obama prove himself the next 12 years. NOW is not the time.
Posted by abnerm at 07:23 PM : Oct 07, 2008
I totally agree that Obama is not ready to be President.
But McCain is a PROVEN danger to the country. He STILL defends his role in the 1999 banking deregulation.
So ready or not, I have to vote for Obama.
We really have no other choice. - Reply to this comment
- I''m even willing to listen to any Republican who can---in an intelligent way---tell me why I should vote for McCain. I''ll even listen to independents or the Green Party. I just turned 39 today, I have a serious chronic illness, and I just saw my retirement savings reduced to pennies on the dollar in 2 days. I challenge anyone on this forum to convince me of who I should vote for this November. Is anyone willing to take the challenge?

I''m a staunch Republican, and I''m voting for Obama.
McCain represents the old guard that caused this mess. Throw them ALL out.
But what kind of lousy investments did you have that fell to PENNIES on the dollar???? The market hasn''t fallen THAT much. Were you heavily leveraged, trading options, etcetera??? - Reply to this comment
- Remember that TV show, "The Waltons?"
Remember Grandma and Grampa living with their grandchildren?
Yah, THAT WILL BE US from now on.
THANKS CONGRESS for making us ALL the Waltons.

- I WAS voting for Obama, till he voted yes in the senate FOR the bailout using tax dollars. (McCain did too). So now, I could''''''''nt care less; no one to vote for.
Posted by generey at 06:56 PM : Oct 07, 200
Not me. I''m voting for someone who DOESN''T represent the "old guard." I''m sending a message.
I want Obama to win just BECAUSE he''s so new and inexperienced.
He''s not a Bush. He''s not a Clinton. He''s not a Kennedy.
He''s JUST WHAT WE NEED RIGHT NOW. - Reply to this comment
- Have you people been noticing, that all CEOs of failed banks are Jews ?, Whats up with that ?

- generey.....You are sort of right. But if I might play the devil''s advocate here I think both Obama and McCain were bullschitted by the administration just like we the people were about the invasion of Iraq and WMD''s. They were told that if the bill did not pass that the economy would self destruct and that time was of the essence. Neither of these men wanted to see that happen and I think they felt that they had no choice. Maybe they did, maybe they didn''t but you can''t put the toothpaste back in the tube. I am beginning to believe that this was all done so Bushies rich friends could tap the kitty one last time but I guess time will tell. We already lost our retirement portfolio so it''s to late for us. Hope you fare better. I blame myself because I put my trust in the market. Never again!

- You know, it''''''''s really easy to come onto this site and point fingers. Americans are frightened and angry, and when they get mad, they tend to start throwing things: tantrums, dishes, rocks, insults, people out of office, etc. My question to anyone on this forum is simple: Democrat or Republican, which candidate is most equipped to bring us out of this financial doldrum? I''''''''m even willing to listen to any Republican who can---in an intelligent way---tell me why I should vote for McCain. I''''''''ll even listen to independents or the Green Party. And this post is equally logical. I WAS voting for Obama, till he voted yes in the senate FOR the bailout using tax dollars. (McCain did too). So now, I could''nt care less; no one to vote for. - Reply to this comment
- azure11....One of the best post I''ve ever read. You are so totally right. That is exactly what will happen. This country is split down the middle and I do not believe we can ever come together again as one nation. To much hate and to many issues that simply cannot be resolved. So you are dead right.

- Why bother watching the debate? All of you know who you are going to vote for already. Most likely, everyone here made their decision a long time ago.
You will all tune into the debate just to watch the other guy, looking for things that could be spun as gaffes or lies etc. Then you will come on these boards and argue back and forth about it with people who will NEVER change their minds anyway. Pointless...

- bellschotsch.....In the words of the great Groucho Marx, "That''s the most ridiculous thing I ever heard." Everyone knows that Faux News in nothing more but a shill for the republican party. In addition, the cameras from ALL the networks will be focused on the same thing. You must be talking about the analysis after the debate. I can already tell you what Faux will say. "Overwhelming victory for McCain." Don''t need a crystal ball for that one. But thanks for making me laugh.

- Bush will go down as the worst President in American history - a war based on lies that cost trillions and the destruction of our economy by his greedy "have more" buddies, because he took the cop off the corner.
And all those who voted for him Twice, will go down as the most retarded voters in history. I sure hope a lot of those Southern Fundie retards end up on the soup line.
In a future dictionary, under "***" one of the synonyms will be "voted for Bush." - Reply to this comment
- Watching Faux Noise is like watching professional wrestling. There''ll be lots of shouting, name-calling and assinine antics and everyone knows the result before anything starts.

My friend that is a $1,000,000 question. With the strangle hold that the two major parties have on the political system in America it''s fruitless to believe that a third party candidate can make any headway. Unfortunately, neither of the two major candidates are any different, and both part of the same crooked cabal we now have in office, and have had for the last several decades. - Reply to this comment
- tj217....I can''t answer your question as I do not possess a crystal ball. But I can sympathize with you as we lost our retirement too. If you put aside all the BS smears and personal attacks and look at the issues and the past it seems to me that the logical choice would be Obama. While it is absolutely true that there is no guarantee that he will be able to make a difference I tend to like his intelligence and calmness and his willingness to listen to experts before making a halfassed decision. But you have to look at everything and make your own decision. Hopefully you will make the right one but if you don''t the world will not end. It will just be much harder to live in. Good luck to you.

- Hey generey, I think you must be mental for even believing what your writing. Is your life really so horrible under the Bush leadership? You are much better off than ANY other country, yet you bash the Republican party as if Bush is to blame for your bs. Grow up.
