Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.....

Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Those who DO learn from history can CAUSE US to repeat the parts THEY WANT.

The public school system has done a WONDERFUL job of keeping anyone from learning about history. Only private school students learn history anymore.

Who runs the Department of Education and "No Child Left Behind...?"

it is time. go back to our basics and roots. We are too commercialized. WE need to stand as one right now.

You would REALLY enjoy "Countryside" magazine.

That''s what they''ve been saying - and DOING - for decades.

We do not need tourches or pitch forks, we need to start somewhere and NOW to voice our issues and band together and make changes for americans not politians or big business.
Posted by risingguns at 08:22 PM : Oct 07, 2008

Good luck with that. I think torches and pitchforks will get the message across MUCH better.

And rope. Lots of rope.

AMERICANS NEED TO LEARN TO DELAY SELF-GRATIFICATION.
Posted by benice6 at 08:17 PM : Oct 07, 2008

Umm, I think you meant "instant gratification."

The other thing is what teenagers do... you know... "the time has come" and all.

BTW, do you wash and re-use plastic sandwich bags? That''s what the REALLY thrifty homesteaders do. I read about it in "Countryside" magazine.

I think this would be a good time to subscribe again. They''ve been warning about this day for about, oh TWENTY OR FIFTY YEARS...

THE END IS NEAR.

LEARN TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD,
LEARN TO CAN YOUR OWN FOOD,
BUY UP ALL THE PRE-1964 SILVER COINS YOU CAN FIND. ..

---------BECAUSE---------

WHILE YOU WERE WORRIED ABOUT YOUR;
401K''S AND KISSING BUTT TO GET A PROMOTION,
I WAS LEARNING TO DO THE ABOVE MENTIONED THINGS.

GET READY TO END YOUR KIDS ENGLISH HORSE RIDDING LESSONS, AND IF YOU DON''T KNOW HOW TO GROW YOUR OWN VEGGY GARDEN,...PREPARE TO PAY PEOPLE LIKE ME $40 FOR A CAN OF MY CANNED STEW,...OR,...YOU''LL HAVE TO FIGHT OVER THE LAST CAN OF TUNA DOWN AT YOUR LOCAL GROCERY STORE LIKE DURING THE NEW ORLEANS HURRICANE EVENT.

NO, I DON''T LIVE IN THE WOODS,
YES I DO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE.
BUT MY FAMILY SAW THIS COMING YEARS AGO WHEN TV COMMERCIALS BOASTED THAT "YOU CAN BUY FURNITURE TODAY AND NOT PAY A DIME FOR TWO YEARS."

HA,...AMERICANS NEED TO LEARN TO DELAY SELF-GRATIFICATION.

NOW WE''LL ALL PAY.

Anybody who STILL thinks the Republicans have some kind of monopoly on wreckng this country is a complete and utter moron.

Anyone who STILL defends either party is an enemy of the nation.

Voting for any incumbent on Election Day should be considered treason.

This brings to mind the great movie "Key Largo", where the old man says "Oh Lord, send a great wave. Take us, if you must, but TAKE HIM" referring to the evil gangster.

Here, the evil gangster is the Ronald Reagan and his disciples of doom, bankrupting America for the wealthy few.

The wave is the economic disaster overtaking us.

Take us if you must, Oh Lord, but TAKE THE REAGANITES AND THE BUSHITES AND THE MCLONES TO HELL FOREVER!!

Rope? I''ve got rope. I''ve got LOTS of rope. I keep it in a bag in the back of my truck.

Rope. I''m ready with rope. I''m good to go.

All I gotta do is pick up some more road flares. Yah, that''s it. Road flares. That will do nicely, I think.

And pitchforks. All I need to do is find someplace that has some pitchforks left...

When the torch sales go up, then we know Americans are ready to take back our Nation.

Torches? Torches are easy. They''re called ROAD FLARES. You can get them anywhere.

Pitchforks, they''re harder to find.

Good evening AMERICANS,
that is what we are.believe it or not, I, had the perfect bailout plan. Problem, No one, not even CBS would take the time to listen for 5 minutes. The REAL issues are AMERICANS can no longer pay their bills. The people needed help. If bills got paid, money would flow and banks will not fall. This is a breif, very breif, concept of my plan. The plan is actually 5 pages long. In detail. Well, who cares, no one would respond to my request to be heard. I contacted Obama camp, Mc Cain camp, white house, *** channey, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and ms money. Who wants to hear from a middle class American who has spent their 50 years of life doing budgets and manageing profitable businesses. We are just stupid stoogies to politicians. Thanks. We are America and no one will listen to us. SAD, SAD day.

Does anybody know where to buy a pitchfork?

I called the pitchfork store, and they said they''re sold out.

They say they sold an UNUSUALLY LARGE number of pitchforks today. Nobody knows why.
