The topic of excessive exec pay and bonus is just a way to keep the public from taking a hard look at the real problem. All of the exec pay and bonuses the last ten years is a drop in the ocean compared to the losses sustained in retirement and savings accounts and job losses. Sure, it makes you mad to see a 50 million dollar payoff to aN incompetent jerk, but that''s the point - get your attention directed at a mosquito when a truck is about to run you over.

Exec pay? Peanuts! 700 billion? Peanuts! The loss is in the tens of trillions, and even that figure doesn''t take into account a highly devalued dollar.

Living in cardboard boxes, getting the kids fed at soup kitchens, and how to stay warm in the dark. Those are the real topics.

Don''t worry this is just the tip of the iceberg. Washington knew this bailout would help nothing, it was just a chance for our political leaders to compensate their corporate buddies one more time, this time at the taxpayers exspense. What a joke.

I think the no more taxes sounds good. There is not enough prison space for all of us.

Hey, wouldn''t you be lounging at a resort too if you had $85 billion of free taxpayer-funded money heading your way?

Let''''s send them to prison for the big money crimes, not scold them for the chump change party.

The insanity must stop now! These criminal SOBs should pay back all money they owe us plus penalty & interest! Some claim that it''s too late to punish these greedy & corrupt SOBs. I disagree. We know where they live and hang out! Find them, fine them to the fullest extent & send them to prison where they belong so this doesn''t ever happen again!! Maybe, just maybe, others with similar intentions won''t be tempted to follow their evil examples!!

Trust congress to grandstand about half a million spent at a resort instead of focusing on the $80,000,000,000 losses. Sure, the party was inexcusable, but only because the business dealing were fraudulent on a massive scale.

Let''s send them to prison for the big money crimes, not scold them for the chump change party.

None of this dribble posted here makes any difference to anyone except the poster gets to vent. Our system and our politicians have set up the government for the politicians. Welcome to the new world order. We were all warned in the 60''s and now it''s here. Poverty, homeless, and hungry will soom be the way of life as we commoners know it. I want my bailout money. Change your witholdings on your W-4''s to 8. I did, government get none of my money until year end. If we all did this how long would they last on a fixed income. Talk about power in the peoples'' hands. LOL.

Well, when I saw that *** Bush come on the screen saying we need to bail them out immediately to save the economy. I knew he was lying.....his lips was moving! Aig Executives should be put in prison....and maybe they should give the rest of the money to the American people to bail them out!

THE MOST IMPORTANT LETTER ALL CEO%u2019s SHOULD RECEIVE

A NEEDED FIX IN ALL BOARD ROOMS

Isn''t it time the system went in for some much needed repair?

Due diligence and oversight long ago slid out the window. No one was watching.

Time to do something about it.

Here''s a huge one they all missed.... The dramatic change that swept through all of North America''s boardrooms over the past 30 years. It is one of the underlying causes of the headache the economy is now feeling, but more importantly, it has resulted in the general feeling of "disconnect" by most Americans.

"WE THE SHAREHOLDERS OF YOUR COMPANIES......

They are not being sent to prison because they are friends of our current ruling political party - the republicans.

Still think the bailout is for the little people on mainstreet and small businesses! Nice work if you can get it.

These are the kind of people the congress is bailing out. If you vote for an incumbent you deserve the higher taxes this will cost all of us.
