Way to go Bushit McClones!
And just think how it would be if the Repugs had succeeded in their drive to put Social Security money into the Stock Market.
We''d all be screwed.
Even worse than we have been over the last 8 years!
Good work, fascists! You''ve really helped your billionaire pals while trashing the USA. - Reply to this comment

- BajaJohn: I hope you are including Democrats in that statement, after all it is Congress who holds the purse strings and it has been the Democrats for over two and a half years that have controlled said Congress. They are all crooks and the sooner Americans come to that truth, the sooner we can begin fixing the system. All of Washington knew that this bailout at best would delay the course of what was to happen on Wall St., not stop it. They let the American taxpayers foot the bill for a measure that wasn''t needed. Wall St. would have and still will heal itself, as it has always done, the only difference now is they have more good money to throw after bad.

- The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.
THE MAIN SUSPECT JOHN MCCAIN
McCain and Keating had become personal friends following their initial contacts in 1981, and McCain was the only one of the five with close social and personal ties to Keating
Fred Wertheimer, president of Common Cause, which had initially demanded the investigation, thought the treatment of the senators far too lenient, and said, "The U.S. Senate remains on the auction block to the Charles Keatings of the world."

Three days ago democrats said on this site he crashed two planes , two days ago it was three and now its 5 planes. Pretty soon the entire carrier squadron will have gone down in flames because of John McCain. But where were you while he was doing all the damage. Maybe you are like the schmuck that said he was a marine but did not add biologist to his title. Just a little detail. If you tried to take off from a carrier the whole ship would have been lost. - Reply to this comment
- McCain received $ 112,000 for Keating and his associates and then Cindy Hensley McCain invested $ 369,000 in a Keating shopping center project. McCain received so much money from the Hensley beer distributorship, the Federal Elections Commission made them return some of it back. Just the FActs.

It is amazing that a combat veteran who has claimed to be a conservative Senator is now leading the fight to reward with amnesty, the millions of Mexican and Central American criminals who have invaded our nation. While the betrayal of the American people on behalf of foreign invaders by Sen. John McCain may be puzzling to most, the former POW has a history betraying his fellow citizens in favor of a foreign enemy.
In 1992, NVA Col. Bui Tin, who interrogated McCain in the Hanoi Hilton, testified before the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs. He told the Senators (including McCain) that Soviet officers regularly interrogated and tortured American POW%u2019s. During a break in the proceedings, Sen. McCain and Col. Tin enjoyed a hug and exchanged the kind of longing looks that a man would usually share with his long-lost father, or perhaps in McCain%u2019s case...His comrade?

- Your Hero, is not John MC CAIN? It is Ted Kennedy? Well we know Teddy could swim a couple of miles to save his political *** but did not have the strength of character to dive down and save poor Mary Jane.
Clinton is every democrats hero. After all, *** with a girl that could have been his daughter must have been great for his ego. But his loyal political wife Hillary knew for a fact that there was no ***. It was all a right wing conspiracy. Obama is next. I wonder if he has the same "extra maritial *** is ok" agreement with Michelle, that Governor David Patterson has with his wife. Well we do no that at least Obama will change one thing. American morals will never be the same. - Reply to this comment
26 combat missions in Vietnam are documented. Torture is documented, and you have the **** to sit there and tell me McCain is part of the rich aristocracy? I said **** because you certainly could never had any balls.

McCain has lived a privileged life. He graduated at the bottom of his class. Do you think he would have had a chance at flight school if he had been one of the unwashed masses. He crashed 5 aircraft and was a below average pilot. There was a reason that some soldiers fragged officers and NCOs, incompetence gets others killed and numbskull McCain seemed unable to follow procedure.

McCain Doesn''''t Remember How Many Houses He Owns
Jul 10, 2008 ... McCain telling Americans how strong the economy is, including Phil Gramm, who said we%u2019re in a %u201Cmental recession%u201D
McCain: I%u2019m glad I deregulated Wall Street.
McCain is a strong proponent of free trade. He supports the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the existing General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) agreements, U.S. participation in the World Trade Organization
Regarding protectionism, in 2007 McCain said, "I''''m a student of history. Every time the United States has become protectionist ... we''''ve paid a very heavy price. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Acts in the 1930s were direct contributors to World War II. It sounds like a lot of fun to bash China and others, but free trade has been the engine of our economy.
In 1999, McCain voted for the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act,
The deregulation bill loosened restrictions on the activities of banks, brokerage houses, and insurance companies.
McCain initially opposed the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act, introduced by Senator Jim Webb, which provides college-tuition benefits for veterans in a manner similar to that of the original G.I. Bill for veterans of World War II - Reply to this comment
