Federal Reserve? They only have 2% to play with. Might as well drop it to zero and say sorry we have no more ammo. 2% will not change a thing.

To the poster that wrote "So tons of jobs were lost and the unemployment doesn''''t move. What a crock" The jobs and unemployment figures do not come out on the same day. And dont forget the people that have dropped off the radar. Its likley 10 to 20 % in real terms but you dont want the feds to admit that. If you work an hour a week you are considered employed.

And what a lie that is. TWO YEARS IS ENOUGH......MCCAIN / PALIN. Posted by perceptions5

You must be crazy. Bush-Cheney-McCain have gotten everything they ever wanted over the last 8 years - including the last 2. It was a Republican dream come true. They got a Republican President and a Republican Congress, every bill they introduced got passed and every power Bush wanted was granted to him.

Now revisionists like yourself are rewriting history to blame the democrats. Certainly there is blame to go around but to say the Democrats are responsible for this mess and not the Republicans is ludicrous. When McCain loses the election by a landslide, you will see that the people of this country are finally placing the blame where it belongs, with the Republicans.

You need to leave ideology behind and look at what you are truly supporting. McCain and Palin are liars, misguided, bent on the same old Bush politics and above all because they are Republicans -if for no other reason, deserve to lose the election because of what their party has done to this country over the last 8 years.

"These people should be grateful. Now they can open their own businesses and free themselves from the shackles of being a wage slave."

Anyone could have opened their own business. The question remains where to get the money and loans to start and keep it going. Sell things to people who are tapped out already and stay in business. Ill bet for every hundred startups only one last over a year. Given the numbers it is going to become a war zone. If you think robbery and murder was bad wait awhile as some white shirts who just got the axe starts knocking you off for $10 Keep waiting that is where it is heading.

If Bush were trying to show how strong the economy is he would have under reported job loses but because he is trying to get the bailout passed he is over reporting job loses. No one can believe anything Bush and company says.

Well we can all thank our 110th Do Nothing DEMOCRAT Congress for all of this.

When they came to power two years ago we were generating 2 million new jobs per year.

Now look at us. What has the Democrats done for our economy? What are they plans for the future?

................................ And of course the most corrupt institution in America today, our mostly liberal MSM wolfpack press "covers" for their pals and points their fingers at the GOP.

...............How sad is that?...........................And what a lie that is.

........TWO YEARS IS ENOUGH......MCCAIN / PALIN.....
