Bush said he worried the financial troubles "could ripple throughout" the economy and affect average citizens. "The risk of doing nothing far outweighs the risk of the package. ... Over time, we''re going to get a lot of the money back." How much money - pennies on the dollar!?!?

Hey Bozo, adding 1 TRILLION more debt dollars to the US tax payer is more than a ''ripple''. This program offers NOTHING to the average US citizen except the price tag. Everything goes to wealthy bankers.

Paulson resisted suggestions being made by Democrats that the program be changed to include further relief for homeowners facing mortgage foreclosures and to include an additional $50 billion stimulus effort.

Yep, Bush and crew want to ram another big spending bill in, over the weekend without any discussion, and no input from the pay stuck with the bill.

Write to Congress and just say "NO".

If it does get approved, it needs to follow this model - Profits go to TAX PAYERS first to pay off our loan
- Then shareholders
- Then employees of the bank
- Last, Bank Executives

When the rick are done *** us middle class and poor out of what little money we have. After they are done raping us and killing off our children in their war to have it all. After they get done bailing themselves out and leaving us to twist in the wind it will be their turn to suffer.

2 Mar 2008 ... According to Realtytrac.com, a source for foreclosure listings:There are currently 2934626 foreclosure listings in the US.

This statistic should suggest that some big money is going to firms for foreclosures on only the most expensive homes and businesses, and the middle class is going to subsidize the rich, seeing as the median price for housing is $300,000.

But Bush asks for $700 billion, it seems that he calculates on the average of each forclosure being valued at $ 2,383,985.07.

Some serious money is about to be stolen from us.

George W. Bush has created the greatest debt in the history of this country. He personally led the raising of oil prices with a bogus war. Bush forced America into bankruptcy to please the Saudis. His incompetence and paranoid schizophrenia destroyed the credibility of the United States.

When Bush and the Republican''''s took over our Government in 2000 we had a Balanced Budget AND a Surplus!! That''''s RIGHT!! Now add to that the FACT that we still had SOME regulations in PLACE that would have NOT allowed this crisis. THAT was ALL wiped out.. THE Balanced Budget? GONE! The Surplus? GONE! The Regulations? GONE! ---Posted by skyk239 at 06:39 AM : Sep 21, 2008.------------------

This is no bailout, no sir, all this moolah is going into the coffers of Bush/Cheney cronies who are jumping ship ahead of the elections. They know full well they are history come November, and are dumping debt on the public, while stealing billions for their buddies, and laughing all the way to the ''''bailed out'''' banks. Keep voting this scum into power, and get more of the same swindlers. The voting public is a sucker for punishment, I guess.

AND THE TIMING OF THIS CRISIS STINKS.Its too convenient for this to happen just prior to the end of this garbage headed administration.

In the words of O.J.SIMPSONS'' Lawyer ''THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG HERE''...

If the Government can find all these billions to bail out the Rich, Starting NOW the government will start Bailing out the Poor.
Posted by jrrico51 at 09:43 AM : Sep 21, 2008

That would be really nice. Except for two things - after this, we''re ALL POOR; and the bailout works by TAKING MONEY FROM US, THE POOR and giving it to the rich who made bad loans.

If they bail out the poor, WE''D BE BAILING OURSELVES OUT. Which is as if Congres did NOTHING AT ALL.

Hey, I like the sound of that...

The lack of enforcement and regulatory changes were the responsibility of the Administration and not Congress.
Posted by misha128 at 09:41 AM : Sep 21, 2008

Teddy, posting under a DIFFERENT screen name won''t do you any good.

CONGRESS makes the laws, not the White House. Lack of enforcement was NOT an issue here.

It was the removal of post-Depression banking regulations for the benefit of MEMBERS OF CONGRESS who had money to lend.

If the Government can find all these billions to bail out the Rich, Starting NOW the government will start Bailing out the Poor. I will not let the Rich Landlords evict Poor Tenants in civil courts in America any longer. I will inspire the poor standup to the courts of the Rich, and have our government put a stop to this two class mistreatment at my local courthouse.

I will also inspire the lower class to get a bailout put into place for our homeless!

To be a strong America every citizen needs to be stronger, and our Government has showed that there is a way to build back our country, and it is by a plan of action like the Bailout for the Rich, to take that gift to the Rich Class and pass it on also to the Poor in need now and raise our counties weak to make them strong now for our great country America to Lead. Know Longer will the Rich be aloud to put the Poor on the streets of America!
I demand a bailout of this two class mistreatment of the people of the United States of America.
