"Elaine L. Chao is the Nation%u2019s 24th Secretary of Labor and the first Asian American woman appointed to a President''s cabinet in U.S. history. Arriving at the age of
eight from Asia speaking no English, Secretary Chao''s experience transitioning to a new country inspired her to dedicate most of her professional life to ensuring that
workers have access to opportunity and the chance to build better lives.
Since her confirmation by the United States Senate on January 29, 2001, she has been dedicated to carrying out the Department''s mission of promoting and
protecting the health, safety, retirement security, and competitiveness of the nation''s workforce."

One day - in the middle of the Wallstreet down turn - only that day the stock came back up a little bit (green). What did Ms. Elaine L. Chao do?
She came forward and made announcement to the media and stated "See, the US economy is improving and job is growing."

Elaine L. Chao - what an IDIOT she is!
Then of course, we all know whom she''s working for - don''t we?

Her two idiot bosses - JWB and D-i-c-k Cheney - a.k.a. Dumb and Dumber.

How is it that the country is on the brink of ruin, record deficits, foreign policy in tatters, savings and retirement plans in shambles, people working themselves to death and the ultra right soldiers march out and ask their leader to give them another slap on the head. More of da same boss! 4 more years, whoopee! I think there is a quiet group of conservatives and centrists who usually vote republican who aren''t saying much now but watch out on election day. The spread, Obama over McCain is going to put the KKK types into shock.

Our counties problems stem from, unfortunately, my generations thought that we are owed something, our lives are supposed to be happy, that the world is our oyster. Divorce rates, gay marriages, toys, mega houses, all things we think we deserve, after all, it''s all about''me''. now is our time for a reality check..I know I have had mine...

You cannot be serious to think your statement has anyhing to do with the problem in this economy. Your the typical neo-con short sighted dimwit that is to blame for the mess this ocuntry is in. If you want capitalism to work, you have to ensure thepeople in this ocuntry have opprotunity to make good money, other wise they won''t spend any money and everyone will suffer.

it''s a common sense issue. You need to get the money inot the workers hands or the economy will not get better.

Thank-you George Bush. Thank-you Richard Cheney. Thank-you Prophets for Profit. Thank-you neo-cons. Thank-you Republicans! And there are still kool-aid drinkers that think John McSame deserves the chance to destroy the middle class for 4 more years. What a disgraceful track record!

According to The Economist Magazine, three-fourths of the economic growth America experienced during the Bush Presidency went to the richest 1% of Americans.

The only reason the unemployment rate is so high is because those people can only hire so many maids, chauffeurs, groundskeepers, and ''''boys''''.

CBS any one who didn''t already know this, is too stupid to read, or they are dead. Why don''t you print something new, not four years old.

The DNC failed to thank Al Gore and President Clinton for signing NAFTA into law. Maybe they forgot.

We need to replace the personal income tax with a tariffs on all imported materials and products. That was what we had in the USA in the early 1900s before the European bankers connived with Wilson and others to establish the Federal Reserve and a penchant for debt.

Such a tariff discourages US corporations from outsourcing, it encourages foreign companies to locate in the USA, and it gives consumers a good reason to save instead of consuming. All positives compared to our current government policies of weakening the USA.

What was it Reagan liked to say so much? Something about are you better off than you were four years ago?!

WELL---if that''s the standard RepubliCONs want to use---oops!---they''ve lost already!

But, no---I imagine this election cycle the ''goalposts are going to get moved'' AGAIN!

OOPS! They already have been! Now, it''s vote for them to fix all these problems---the only problem with that is, they are the ones who created all these problems they now want to FIX! Sounds kinda loony to me---like a bad B-movie, yet it''s reality! It''s time to end this bad flick!

According to open border advocates, the jobs are there. Americans are just too lazy to do them. Obama tells us that. Bush tells us that. McCain tells us that. Think maybe we''ve been lied to ?

the corporate executive pay, particularly the CEO''s gives new meaning to the term "robber baron" that was used in my high school US History book. By the way how many houses do people really need?
