530,000 Were Subject To Mass Layoffs In The Last Year, According To Labor Scorecard
- Personally I find it interesting that alot of people complain about the countrys ills in one breath and in another breath they say we are the richest country in the world. By the way I have 3 houses and am vary much middle to low income - I rent two of the houses and live in the 3rd two have morgage payments - owned by the bank. If Mccain own 7 houses so what! Obama live in one Mansion.

- Would someone with seven homes and out of touch with reality even care about people working at low paying jobs... McBush just doesn''t get it...

Don''t lose focus on your second point. It''s NOT that John has 7+ homes, it''s that his mind is so far gone that he can''t keep track. How could a single person vote to put a mind like that in charge of the Presidential pen, let alone sell flair pens at the drugstore. - Reply to this comment

No. Actually we need unions to keep your keepers from raping the middle class. You''re all smug in your BMW''s, portfolios and UMC digs, but just think how easy that will be lost when real Americans decide to take back our country from you subversive mofo''s. You''re cool, you got the bucks, the education, the contacts, the beamer... and you you wear a suit and loafers to a wargame. Tsk tsk. - Reply to this comment

Missle defense spending? How stupid are you? Here. Drink this Koolaid... it'' tastes GREAT! - Reply to this comment
- Think this over. If Bush leaves office, he will sooner or later be tried and hung for war crimes and crimes against humanity... that''s pretty much a given. Does any sane person have any doubts about this? If you do, you''re complicit in his crimes and deserve the same fate... you''re not human enough to be here.
So, what can this spawn of evil do to forstall the inevitable? Ah... of course... a manufactured emergency (Georgia was a nice try) and martial law. No elections, Bush forever.
Have you read where they have like 14 massive concentration camps already built for illegal aliens so they say (Google it and learn), or perhaps dissedents, those who disagree with the fascist regime.
This is not the America we grew up in. Yeah, I wanted to fight terrorism, but I don''t want terrorist fearmongers running our government as we do now. Idiot cowards who''ve lost their way and no longer believe in the evolving dream that is America will sell us all out to their fascist (Google that word too while you''re at it) dream of world domination because they''re too afraid of competing in the world on our own merits, because they really don''t believe in America... just profits.
I honesty believe that we''d kick anybody''s a$$ if they really gave us some s**t... for real. We''re better than the lying *** who''ve led us to McShame over the last 8 years. - Reply to this comment
- Bush is actually one of the better Presidents of all time especially when compared to Clinton , Carter, Nixon. He has kept America terrorism free since 911 and dont think nothing was attempted since then. Obama will be the worst he we are unlucky enough if he gets in. He is going to raise taxes , and cut missile defense spending , etc. He says that and people still clap for him ? AND HE''S PHONY !!! NOBAMA 08

- We need more Union''s to cause animosity and make big business fail.
Tax the rich at higher rates than others.
The heck with what Dr. King said; people of color should be given more than whities.

- We all have a chance to thank Mr. Bush and Cheney in Janury 09 for killing over 4000 of our won plus tens of thausands of Iraqi and Afgan citizens. We coulde also tell them that they should relocate to Mexico after they are out of office. May be they could be military advisers to Iran on how to beat the Iraqies. Better yet, they could be adviers to Bin Laden on how to trick the Americans. So many possibilities for them, but really, they should not be allowed to live among us "normal Americans".

- We''ve all been BUSHWHACKED!!!
While the Bush-lovers have been ranting and railing against "dem immigrants taking our jobs", without any complaint from his "base" Bush has outsourced all our jobs, bankrupted the country, and hocked our future to the Chinese. At the same time, he has destroyed our infrastructure, let whole cities drown without lifting a finger to help, championed torture of the innocent and guilty alike, lied to start an illegal war, lost the war, lost this country the respect and admiration of the world, lost almost all our allies, etc. etc.
Bush is the WORST PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME, and now Johnny McSame wants to continue in his footsteps! No effing way, Jose! - Reply to this comment
- Unfortunately, the worst is in front of us. This election can''t come soon enough. The Bush administration has left the next administration an incredible task.

- Nutjobs were obsessed with unity issues with the Democratic Party.
Um, do you think Romney, Liebermann and Huckabee are happy about now?
McSame just openly slapped them and their long careers in the face. Ya, you''re showin'' good experience their exxon john. - Reply to this comment
- How can the neocon nutjobs even discuss an economy?
If they knew anything about an economy, how can gas prices be out of control?
How could the dollars value be driven so low?
How could millions of homes be forced into foreclosure?
How could millions of jobs be snet overseas?
How could the value of a dollar be less than a dollar?
How could anyone vote for more of the same? Or think that somehow, now they have a clue what to do?
Amazing, there is even ONE person who would vote for them. Dont get me started on EXPERIENCE ! Ya, that Palin has a whole bunch....changing diapers. - Reply to this comment
- I hope McCain makes the tax cuts permanent.
That''ll make the national debt permanent.
Which''ll make the devaluation of the dollar permanent.
Which''ll make the devaluation of ANYONE who earns dollars permanent.
Which''ll make the inflation of EVERYTHING purchased with dollars permanent, and result in the permanent ownership of American workers by foreign capital.
So nice to know that Republicans aren''t going to ''tax'' us... - Reply to this comment

- ... Tax items manufactured eslewhere when they are imported until it''''s cheaper to manufacture here again. Charge other countries out the ying yang for food they get from us.
Get people working again at something other than service occupations.

Even Obama has said manufacturing won''t be coming back. (otherwise I would have included that snippet in the quote.)
With even anti-tax Republicans saying we need to tax imported goods and services to keep jobs here, I''m genuinely surprised it''s not being considered. - Reply to this comment
- "530,000 Were Subject To Mass Layoffs In The Last Year"
...which is why a lot of corporations lay of in steady small increments, so as to avoid the infamy of being corralled under the banner of "mass layoffs".

- The keynote address at the GOP convention might as well be: "WE ARE THE BORG. YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED."

lollll...nah...assimilation into the Borg makes you an equal among equals.
Now if the Borg said:
"WE ARE THE BORG. YOU WILL BE BURNED AS FUEL TO GET US WHAT WE WANT UNTIL YOU ARE CONSUMED."
THEN you''d have a Republican. - Reply to this comment
- From another article: "POLL: 80 percent of Republican delegates approve of Mr. Bush%u2019s performance "
If it wasn''t obvious before, it should be now: These people confuse consistence with thought.

- Another example of when you elect republican scum that has no idea what they are doing to the white house. Remember how unemployment was 7.5% when daddy bush was leaving office. His son is doing one of heck of a job compared to him... Stupid conservatives !!
