Note to President Bush - the next time you feel the need to ask observers not to record your next comment - DON''T MAKE THE COMMENT! There will always be some Judas at the table to rat you out.

Yeah Mr. Bush - the state of economy is absolutely hilarious. HAHA.

This from the same political party who called us a nation of whiners. Gotta love those Republicans!

["Markets were dealing with very complex financial instruments, and it''s clear to everyone that the markets didn''t fully understand the risk those instruments posed." ]

the market''s now an individual w/ cognitive ability? ''they'' knew exactly what the risks were ... and for whom they were meant for.

i''m surprised this isn''t the cia''s fault.

Hey Hockey Puck, I think you are confused a lot! Japan attack us. Iraq did not attack us. Iraq HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9-11. GOT IT? Man, there are some really dumb people out there! Only 181 days left! Enjoy!

It would seem that a man with this fellow''s drug history, including a DUI conviction, would be more careful with the use of such terms as "hangover," but, it only proves that he really has never dealt with the entire concept of his own addiction.

Why is this news? He''''s just speaking in terms his dim witted constituency can understand.

You mean the oil men can only understand Bush''s most simplistic speak.

It''s more like economic meth use started with Reagan. It took years for the teeth of this nation to begin to decay along with it''s flesh and bones but the socioeconomic pathology of the neo con ideology began years before Bush. Yep, the global empire building capitalists, who woulda thunk, put their oligarchy ahead of the United States, its constitution and it''s citizens.

Some of us are looking in the mirror and beginning to see the damage. The nation could become more strung out and the withdrawal more severe. It could be a long recovery. The pyramid scheme will leave only a few beneficiaries, the ones who have the means to skip country and evade taxes. The ones who kept their enormous funds in Swiss bank, UBS, where Texan Phil Gramm in a chairman.

I do not know what Bush expected, when he and the Republicans in Congress declared an open bar and seven members of a Wall Street firm were right there in the Administration serving.

It''s pretty funny you all tease him about knowing about hang-overs...I''m sure non of you have ever had one (or for that matter, continue to have them every weekend). As for his over-simplification of the problem - maybe, just maybe, non of us really want to hear all the technical financial jargon for once.

Yes, he''s not the brightest.

BTW, all politicians suck, Dem, Repub, Greenies.

When I think of someone too lit, I remember Foster Brooks acting schnockered on the Dean Martin Show. That guy could really make me laugh. Then when the President says this about Wall Street, I can see it. If sobering up means falling oil prices,......NO COMPLAINING HERE!
