The class war is over. The Rich have won.

I''m just glad they finally got some tax "relief". Thank you Ronald Reagan.

I think that you dont have to build better fuel milage cars. It is due to the fact that the oil companys need new bigger yachts!!!. It is well known that the president does not have a pair to say lower gas prices, because his hand is in the pot also. The only people to blame for the cars that are beening built is the consumer. THE CAR COMPANYS LISTEN TO YOUR IDEAS DA!!!!!!!!! The auto show is to get to publics outlook on new cars. You like it they build it. It is that simple. The people to blame for the misrable economy. is the oil companys, not the car makers. As you can tell if gas goes up,food, steel, taxes, cost of living, its a never ending battle. How long till everybody Including the president getkicked out of there own home due to the bad economy?

Oh when will you people understand that the oil companies are the innocent victims here of all that profit. It is not their fault that they were forced to make so much profit by environmentalists who won''t let them drill. If only they could drill more, then they wouldn''t have to make mega profits anymore. Sniff!

"If you build it we will buy". But you didn''t build it did you? I remember the early 80''s when Ronnie Raygun came into office. We had just gone through the oil embargo and Carter had explained to the American people that we were going to have to change our ways because this was only the tip of the iceburg. Then Raygun just blew it all off. Just like he blew off AIDS. They could have stopped it but to the Raygun people it was just a "queers" disease so why bother. Then he began to de-regulate and I mean he did a good job. They kept telling us, "the wealth will trickle down, don''t worry, by happy." Then movie stars started driving gas guzzlers and of course everyone had to have one to show that they too had a pair. Some of us tried to sound the alarm but were quickly branded, unpatriotic, and told to shut up. So, here we are..right on the edge of the cliff and with the help of organizations like the NRA we''re going to step off in November with President McCain. Anybody got a parachute I could borrow?

Gee, they may have to build something people really want to buy, like fuel efficiency.

I think GM''s sales numbers should be scrutinized. Their numbers just don''t make sense. How many brand new GM''s have you seen lately? GM announces that they''ll be closing 3 plants, and what does everybody do, go out and buy new GM''s. Sorry folks, but I find their numbers very hard to believe. Enron strategy.

"Only about 12 percent of all vehicles out there get better than 25 miles per gallon." Lindland said."

Geez, I have a ''94 Cutlass wagon that gets that and better, yet here in 2008 we can''t seem to make cars that do better.

People say that it''s not Detroit''s fault that people want huge gas-guzzling SUVs. Pure B.S. This demand was CREATED by them through marketing. People got along just fine with sedans and wagons, etc. They didn''t suddenly wake up one day and decided they must have a 4X4, off-road capable vehicle for their daily commute.

First, there''s the image of the daring adventurer, kayaking and canyoneering. Then there''s the bigger-is-better, macho tough-guy image. Then there''s the bigger is safer image (never mind that SUVs are more prone to rollovers, and that cars were perfectly safe back when bumpers were roughly the same height).

And of course the masses just ate this stuff up. Yes people are gullible, but Detroit itself is to blame for creating this wasteful demand which they benefited from for a while, but now will have to pay dearly for.

I went through a Ford dealer''''s lot the other day, looking at trucks. There were 35 Heavy Duty pickups on the lot ranging in price from $41,000 to $56,000. I think they''''re going to be sitting there a long l........o........n........g time.

I think this has more to do with declining sales then gas. Auto industry STILL hasn''t figured that out, though. Sad ......

Jesus said unto Peter, "...if you live by the sword, then you will die by the sword."

As the ruling elites take what little "we the people" have left to our name, I say...

..."It is better to die by the sword than to die by submission."

The Ruling Elite has a Plan, that they''re in the midst of implementing, and it involves you and your Family becoming Dirt Poor, and willing to work for crumbs that fall off the Table of their Massive Feasts......Oh, wait a minute,....that''s what they''ve been doing for years......my bad,.....continue panhandling for spare change and looking for a nice dry place to sleep for the night.....

What BIS ( Bank of International Settlements) is doing now is to

1. Reset the American economy back to an ''emerging market.'' because the only way for Wall Street to make money.

2. Start a middle class boom in China that only needs 10% of its population because that equals the entire population of the U.S.

3. Ensure that Republicans get their way and drill in Anwar not for domestic use but for export because Americans will be unable to afford gas with worthless dollars.

4. Promote a change in lifestyle with new green commercials on television that justify riding bicycles.

5. Finally Oligarchies and Monarchies of Europe will continue to live happy ever after with cloned mutated Serfs of trans-human half human and half animal to worship them as Pharoes and God-Kings.

...........

People like you and I, have been predicting and talking about this "decline" for years now. It is unfortunate that people like us were right. And our statements on these boards... which were mirrored from the intelligent economists of this world, have been turning into reality day after day.

Sadly, the corporate media does not report the whole truth about the economy. As it is far worse, (and getting much more), than what is currently reported. With few exceptions, like this article, the average "news" day is filled with which political candidate said "xyz" and several hours of so-called experts picking apart the semantics of the candidates'' statement(s).
