What is the Democrat plan to get gas prices down?

And don''t respond about windfall profit taxes on oil companies. There''s 2 things wrong with that:
1. That is exactley what Jimmy Carter did and it drove the oil companies to cut back on US production and by from the arab markets.
2. It doesn''t lower prices cause oil companies will raise them to make up for the extra taxes. Thats what happened when Carter did what Obama wants to do again.

What is the democrat plan to get gas prices down???

If a gallon of gas gets to cost as much as a 6-pack of beer, I will have to quit driving.

The continued funding of the war by Dems and Reps alike, with both sides playing the politics of transfering the wealth of the country to the military industrial establishment and the rich oil elite, at the cost of our brave soldiers lives, is at the root of our problems.

Come November, vote every incumbent out on their ear, regardless of party affiliation, or risk more blood-money making by both complicit, co-conspiritorial parties.

Wake up America - take back the government. VOTE EM ALL OUT.

according to fox news (do a google for "oil in north dakota) there is a reported 4.3 Billion barrells of recoverable oil in the bakken shale formation under North Dakota. Same article cites USGS data of 10 Billion barrels in ANWR. Thats just 1 article on 2 deposits. With the price of oil and the effect that price has on the consumer. I think this oil would last us long enough to bring alternative energy to the masses. If there is a commitment by all of America to do so.

John McCain supporters love these high oil prices. Afterall, it is McCain and his Republicon colleages that are 100% to blame for all that now ails the US economy. Republicon hatred is why these people have been voting with their heads up their lily white fatassess for years.

And if we invade Iran--oil will be at $499 a barrel.

If we sucked all the known reserves that we have in the USA dry we would have enough oil to last us about 4 years. Where do you get ur information?

Von gets his information from Joseph Goebbels......

.....I mean Sean Hannity... oh what the hell, they''re both from the same mold!

It seems as if neo-con posters have learned well from Bush''''w war on Iraq.... Submit lies, deceptions and half truths in this case to get McCain elected.

Why would they do that are they afraid of a fair fight?

I wonder if the people driving across the border into Mexico for gas realize that it is a lower quality of gas that they are buying and what that will ultimately do to the engine of their vehicle?

Analyst estimate that the proven reserves in the Rocky Mountains, Deep Sea US Territory, North Dakota and Alaska are GREATER than ALL MUSLIM COUNTRIES COMBINED!!
Posted by von_marko at 03:39 PM : Jun 27, 2008

Get out of here. Our proven reserves in all U.S. represent 3% of world oil supplies while we consume 25% of world oil production. Drilling the U.S. mainland and Hawaii until they sink in the ocean is not going help.

From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." %u2013 Barrack Obama Posted by von_marko at 03:39 PM : Jun 27, 2008

Actually, the quote is as follows:
"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
