Anytime I borrow money I am enslaving myself to the financial institution -- I either work for them or they take my toys away.

You HAVE to be a salesman! I mean you could sell Snow at the North Pole!! Problem? It''s all just more of the same tired old lines we''ve heard for decades. We need a change in direction, someone who will toss these Trade Agreements that are hurting this nation so much and someone who will end FOREVER MORE this insanity of Trickle Down. Supply DOES NOT drive the Economy, DEMAND does. If those who BUY do not have the wealth we just keep fighting over a smaller slice of the pie.

The Bush/Cheney White House is leaving our country in a mess. Bush is now just trying to save his reputation but it''''s way too late. He will go down in history as one of our worst Presidents. As for Prick"SO" Cheney, that arrogant heartless SOB should be in jail.

The Dumbocrats are angry that it wasn''''''''t their idea. Nothing the administration could do will ever be enough for those clowns. Heck, Bush could make gay pride parades mandatory, and permit public sodomy between consentimg males on Sundays, and the Dumbocrats would still find a reason to complain.

.............................................

Your right! Foot tapping page molesting Republican Congressmen already tried most of this type activity and the Democrats did Complain. Good piont!

Last week on Survivor:Class, the wildly popular reality television game show now in its 8th year on BCS (Bush Cheney System), another 1 million contestants were eliminated from competition. This week, the Tribal Council will convene with new rules allowing FED CEO''s to consolidate control. Who will be among the final 10,000 contestants to win on Survivor:Class!

People need to just get over all of this partisan "stuff." Republicans did this during Clinton''s admin and so on and so on. Middle America needs to quit bickering and actually talk about solutions and where we want this country to go in the next 25 years. Change the status quo of extreme politicians and get back to moderate America like the founding fathers.

Personally, I think the current administration is genious. The will go down as the greastest theives in mankind history. They are not your average bank crooks. They methodically robbed the richest country in the world while the democrats did nothing to stop them and the republicans cheared them on.

I understand the concept of losing a home is a BIG deal and certainly effects a lot of people. The concept of having Wall Street crash affects everyone -- rich, poor, living in a mansion, or homeless. It is a HUGE deal. There is another issue here that is even deeper and that is US spending patterns. The reason Wall Street is considered an evil thing is that somewhere, sometime, the people that invest in the stock market (and therefore industry) said "I''ll wait to buy a new house (or car, or stereo, or HDTV) and save my money. They did and eventually got rich and got the fine things they wanted. Our generation says we must have everything right now and then try to make those who make that happen for them look like thieves thieves for loaning them money. While not all financial institutions are ethical, it is my responsibility as a borrower to educate myself and know my income verses expenses. Anytime I borrow money I am enslaving myself to the financial institution -- I either work for them or they take my toys away.

Complete control of the finance and banking system, sounds a lot like what the Socialists do when they gain power, do you want the Government getting involved with your finances?

Posted by lorinkundert at 12:00 PM : Mar 31, 2008

I don''t care what it looks like, what matters is the current system needs an overhaul and doing nothing when a solution can be found is reckless. What''s wrong with socialism (if that is what you want to call it) if it helps save mortgages? Socialism per se is not a proper argument for or against.

His comments came as the president paid a quick visit to a nonprofit debt counseling center in Freehold, N.J. to refute exactly that sort of criticism and argue his administration has acted effectively.

The administratio''''s moves over the past about six months include expanding the Federal Housing Administration''''''''s ability to offer refinancing to homeowners with good credit, allowing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to buy up more home loans, and brokering help for struggling homeowners through a private-sector mortgage industry group. That group has agreed to offer a five-year rate freeze for people who have not missed payments or a 30-day foreclosure pause for those who fall behind.

"There are some homeowners who have made responsible buying decisions and who could keep their homes with just a little help," he said. SO WHY DID YOU BAIL OUT YOUR FREINDS ON WALL STREET. MR PIN HEAD

The president has come out strongly against the Democrats'''', warning that an overzealous governmental response to the nation''''s housing woes could hurt the economy''''s ability to recover long-term."We have a role to play at the government level, and that is to help lenders avoid foreclosure," he said. THE STOCK MARLET IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN A FEW MILLION AMERICANS LOSING THEIR HOMES.. "The housing market problems are complicated and theres no easy solutions.

DONT FORGET MR POTATO HEAD/ PAULSON I S FROM WALL STREET

DONT FORGET BEN/MR FED IS FROM WALL STREET TOO

I think what demslie was try to say is that it is not ALL the governments fault. That some people are so set in their opinions that they don''t see the whole picture. And no, I don''t think all Dem. are bad and all Rep. are good or visa versa.
I had a teacher tell me once that in order to argue your point well, you need to know the other sides point better. I must admit, I don''t always follow this good advice.

I couldn''t agree more. There are many folks posting who haven''t bothered to learn the history of the Fed, and they just assume it is another part of the Unites States government.

The nature of the fed is largely misunderstood. It''s goals are treasonous. The fed is a pseudo government agency that has shareholders and comprises the central banking ideas of wealthy industrialists. It is designed to create inflation and provide fiat capitol that creates "capitol" from nothing to hide market incompetence and greed.

A private organizisation should NEVER be in charge of any public function, especially the issuance of wealth. Inflation alone should indicate that the federal reserve is not competent enough to monitor anything. This is the largest theft of a countries wealth in history.

This is the ultimate warning to you, to our people. Thomas Jefferson- "If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

The current economic situation is declining for various reasons which I am sure is the fault of the government, corporate america, and consumers alike.
